Best WLM Reviews

My husband and I had just flown in from Oahu and were both feeling hungry. Whole Foods in Maui was our first stop, as it's our go-to for healthy, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly options. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the service and helpfulness of the staff.
Since I wasn’t familiar with the layout of this particular store, I asked one of the clerks for help. He was incredibly kind and took the time to personally guide me to the items I was looking for. Although I didn’t catch his name, I truly appreciated his patience and went back into the store later hoping to find him and thank him again but couldn’t find him to note his name for my review. (I did thank him in the moment though!)
We then stopped by the hot buffet area, and John at the deli counter was just as friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. We also picked up some fresh pre-made sushi platters, which were delicious.
At the checkout, we were greeted by Drew, who handled our transaction with a smile, and Shirley, the bagger, who was so enthusiastic and kind. Their upbeat attitudes really stood out! It’s rare to find such consistently positive and welcoming staff in one place, and it made our first hour on Maui that much better!
Whole Foods Maui truly made a lasting impression on us, and we’ll definitely be back during our stay!
Sarah (manager) asked me to leave again that I am taking up her precious time at Whole Foods..well something bit me and I need some calamine lotion and Whole Foods is a homeopathic store...The clerk said no we don't have calamine lotion I asked,"What is the alternative to calamine she said there is not one..I asked Sarah she said,"If she don't know then there is no alternative...I took out my 2024 Motorola Edge 5G and googled it .. Lavender Oil is the #1 essential oil that takes away the itch
The store is clean. The food is delightful but the reason we come back is for the excellent customer service Sheri is a wonderful joy. She is very skilled. Does her job well and quickly with a smile she is an absolutely amazing person with a great work ethic! We appreciate her kindness ????
Great location for Maui residents and great helpful personnel. The downside is poorly stocked items. Shelves will be sparsely stocked, with wide gaps between items. High demand items that get depleted quickly aren't overstocked to compensate. Curious if corporate ever reviews operations. Prior to Amazon, this never seemed to happen. Having been to numerous U.S. and Canadian WF stores, I've never seen the stocking issues like this
Large, chain supermarket located at the Maui Mall Village shopping plaza, near the Kahului Airport. They are typically known for carrying 'natural' and organic goods with higher prices.
Clean and expansive with quality produce, meat, and seafood. Their prepared food counter and salad bar also looked good. Prices are too high for us to purchase all of our groceries here but I wish!
store has a foul odor when you walk in. food pricey . Salad bar $13.99 per pound very high. pizza not that good sauce very bitter.
It is unfortunate that an establishment that I shop at regularly stateside, would have such poor customer service at this specific location, that I would under no circumstance shop here again and would direct all friends and families when they come to the island to shop elsewhere. On my way to the airport I stopped into this Whole Foods to buy snacks, some local Hawaii soap from the Whole Body section of the store, and a breakfast sandwich. The only positive thing I can say from this experience was that the croissant breakfast sandwich was good.
The interiors of this Whole Foods is somewhat small, they don’t offer a self-checkout line, and even though it wasn’t terribly busy when I was shopping there, I could imagine it gets backed up into the aisles just because of how small it is and perhaps not having enough staff at the registers during peak times.
While I was shopping I suddenly needed to use the restroom, I asked one of the workers where the restrooms are, and he begins to tell me that I need to exit the store and use the public restrooms in a different area of the plaza. I asked him to repeat once again what he said because I thought I missed something as this makes no sense to me, he mentions it’s been like this since the pandemic, and again explains where I need to walk, turn, etc. to find these outside public restrooms. I was very tempted to leave my items and let this gentlemen know that I will not be returning to buy anything, because nothing upsets me more than poor customer service.
I’m not sure if it’s the fault of store leadership here at this location, or the Southern Pacific regional office, but whoever has decided to close off the restrooms made a very poor business decision, if it truly comes down to the pandemic I would think they’d have some other social distancing policies in place, but it appears the no bathroom thing is just an excuse. As a result paying customers are inconvenienced and have to use a public restroom in a separate area of the plaza. I would suggest anyone visiting the island of Maui to spend their money elsewhere, there’s plenty of Safeways that sell all the products you would need to stock your fridge and also offer great customer service. Even at the airport and other souvenir shops you can buy local products, coffee, honey, chocolate bars etc. I will not return to give this Whole Foods location my business under any circumstance.
For people that have kids and take them grocery shopping, or even the many that have health conditions that would need to use the bathroom immediately, the fact that this Whole Foods location doesn’t allow paying customers to use the restrooms is by far the most ridiculous thing I’ve come across in a long time, and it would be an easy fix if the person operating this store had a clue of what good customer service is.
Consistently rude staff throughout the store except for a select few. They all seem so miserable. Deli dept is painfully slow and understaffed. There seems to be a need of at least 2 people working the counter and rarely if ever is. Their pizza staff consistently burns pizzas, how can they justifiably sell it in that condition. Obviously the oven isn’t calibrated properly or they have the timers set too long. The lines to get to cashier are so mismanaged and chaotic. This store needs a renovation and some operational guidance and strategy.
