I wanted to give this place 5 stars... growing up a rock throw from Mexico has my expectations high for mexican food.
I've wanted to try this place since I moved here, finally got time to stop by. Walking in, the atmosphere is awesome, cozy and decorated awesomely. Was quick to be seated. We chose to sit inside by window.
Waiter came to get our drink order shortly after being seated, ordered the micheladas ( not many places have them here and if they do they ain't that good) they're a staple back home. They weren't the best I've had but they're a for sure go to.
On to the food. The reason I wanted to give 5 stars is most any mexican restaurant you go to and get fresh good chips before meal, you know you're fixing to have a amazing meal.
It came out fairly quick after ordered. My fiance for a taco plate, kiddo got corn dogs and beans and I got a combo plate. Fiance enjoyed her tacos down to rice n beans. My plate the chili relleno was very tasty! Had a perfect spice level, beef taco was good on flavor and crunchy, tamale was good with the green sauce smothered on it, enchilada was ok. The biggest reason a star dropped off wax my food wasn't hot. Was barely warm. Not sure why. Came out fast enough to not have to sit a while and cool off. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait to eat since my plate was larger than fiance and they'd have to sit n wait for me to get done longer. So I bucked up n ate it. The taste and all was good and we will totally be coming back for another visit.
Wow! First time here and have found my new Mexican food spot. Best flautas and street corn I've ever had!! Shockingly good happy hour menu in the cantina that goes until 9pm Monday to Friday. I will be back!
We had such an amazing experience here!!! Booked a reservation so we could see the Christmas ships and even though we were running a little late, they still kept our table for us. The restaurant was completely packed but the service was still amazing. Megan was our server and she did a phenomenal job! She even made the guacamole fresh right in front of us like a true guac master! We will definitely be coming back again, what a great evening! :)
This has been a fun family Mexican restaurant in Vancouver for us since the 1980s. The food is great. The home made Guacamole is amazing! Also, the Classic Combo, the Chicken Enchiladas, the Chicken Tamales, and the Taco Salad are all great choices. Still a fun place for a big party or just a family outing!
Came here on 11/20/24 with some friends. It was our first time. Don't know the name of the guy making the tacos in the evening (around 5:30), but he was amazing! Friendly, funny and made great tacos. He helped me make choices and he was spot on. It was Taco Tuesday so the tacos were very reasonably priced. We got chips, salsa, tacos, side bowl of beans and side bowl of cornbread. Our server was friendly (didn't get a name) and checked on us often. We will most definitely be back!
Tasty Mexican food with a scenic view!
The only thing better than the real good food was the real good view! Plus, saying the name of this place out loud fills me with giddy joy ????

This place is such an epic location for great food, good ambiance, excellent drinks, and outstanding service! Shout out to Megan, our server, who did a wonderful job with our large party. Honestly, we were a lot to handle with a graduation party, but she handled us with style and grace!
Table side guacamole, chips & salsa, fajitas, fish, steak... all was cooked to perfection. Add that the shrimp was in something bing worthy. Tortillas are made fresh in house too!
It's a must stop when we're in Vancouver. We have lived in E WA for 20+ years, but our first time here was in 1994. We will keep coming back!
Food is great and the location on Columbia River is magnificent. The seating on the porch has a great view on the river and today it was a full moon. The food served here is amazing and authentic. I came to this restaurant about 35 years ago and still visit this location whenever I get a chance.
