Best WLM Reviews

This hidden gym is the top soul food in the Gwinette area . The menu offers a good variety of choices, including comfort food classics such as macaroni & cheese, collards, and yams.
There are a couple of stools to enjoy your meal, although it seems most prefer to go orders.
Every item I ordered was full of flavor. Nothing was overly salty. I also tried their peach cobbler. It hit the spot.
I enjoyed the artwork of the former rap trio, Migos. I was not as excited about the vulgar fight videos on the large screen TV. At least it was muted. The R&B music was at a nice volume; it wasn't overbearing.
There was a small issue with the cold meat, but I just say they were exceptional about correcting the issue.
Overall, I recommend this restaurant. I will be returning for more!
So about a month ago I went to Who’s Got Soul Southern Cafe in Lawrenceville, GA. At that time I dealt with 2 employees, one being an African American man who was patient, kind and professional. Because of that particular employee, I begged my Uncle who is visiting from London, England to go despite his request to eat elsewhere. I bragged about the kindness of that employee and the food. Well today was a horrible experience. I was greeted by an impatient African American woman who was not only rude but treated us like we were bothering her. We spent $44 only for her to get an item wrong on the receipt. When I stood in view to witness the Spanish male employee prepare the food, both she and he became annoyed. In fact, if I wasn’t standing there, he would have gotten my order wrong. He became disrespectful and said he can read the receipt when I was making sure it was fixed properly. After he fixed my food, he just left it on top of the counter and walked away. He did not bag it and treated me as if we were charity cases. The nasty lady then walked over and basically stuffed both dinners in the bag, threw the utensils in with my banana pudding and walked away. I told her the gentleman who I dealt with previously was much nicer. I am an African American woman that recently relocated to GA from NJ and I drove over 40 minutes in traffic to get there. Now, if this wasn’t enough, when I ate the turkey wings, they were extremely salty. The yellow rice was dry and had it not been for the gravy, it would have been thrown out. The Mac & Cheese was fine along with the grilled vegetables; however, the string beans were the worst I’ve ever tasted. They were also over salted, mushy and it was so stringy that I was removing unchewable pieces from my mouth. The banana pudding tasted spoiled. I only tried a small portion and dumped the rest. So moral of the story, if your staff is disrespectful and nasty, your food will probably reflect that. Had it not been for my 78 year old uncle, I would have asked for my money back. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!! The other restaurant Forever Family Soul Food is way better in terms of food and behavior of staff and treatment of their guest. It’s disgusting for people who you help keep in business think it’s ok to treat customers like this. Imagine how many other people they did this too. Oh and lastly, put the person on hold on the phone before you take our order. Perhaps it would have made a difference!!!
I’m not sure why the ratings are lower, but my goodness the food is absolutely amazing!!! I ordered mines for delivery for Uber Eats and it was first time ever hearing of this restaurant and trying it. I was highly impressed with the food quality and everything was absolutely delicious as I mentioned. I’m looking forward to my wife trying it. I recommend the veggie plate as well as the peach cobbler.
The food was good, like a home cooked meal, nothing to hype though. Basic, underwhelming restaurant experience in the Atlanta area. Don’t expect anyone to greet you. It seems that they cut their desserts with the same tools they cut the food with. Once slice of cake tasted like onions and the other like a savory seasoning. I asked about the red velvet cake and it was the opposite of what was described.
Overall, I would go back when I didn’t feel like cooking. I know exactly what I would get.
Ordered delivery, first time trying food. Reviews sounded great, unfortunately did not deliver on presentation or flavor, did deliver lots of small broken bones in my chicken, way overcooked and over seasoned zucchini and squash - just mush, burnt overcooked greasy fried okra, rock hard corn muffins, and beef tips that were ok but not packed well, sauce spilled everywhere. Banana pudding was soggy vanilla wafers and cream, very spongy virtually no actual pudding. Terrible overall experience, not worth price. Pics - that's supposed to be okra on the white plate, those are chicken bone bits on the colored edge of plate, why did they break the bones on the chicken? Dangerous.
Was searching through Grubhub to find local restaurants in my area. Wanted something different but non fast food. Came across “Who’s got Soul”….read some of the reviews and checked out the menu. I was craving Ox-tails, but opted for the turkey wing instead. The plate comes with your choice of dressing or rice, and two sides. I decided on the cabbage and the yams. The cabbage is pretty good. I did not like the yams at all. The Dressing is not your mamas, but not bad…pairs well with the Turkey Wing and the gravy that’s drizzled on top. I also got a side of cranberry sauce, Because I have to have it with my turkey and dressing. You are able to see your food being fixed. It does not come from the back kitchen in the box. Everything seems to be fresh. Restaurant was nice and clean and the guys were very nice. I will return. But I will try something from the menu.
Visiting from Alabama Had a taste for some soul food, searched and found Who’s Got Soul, and based off reviews decided to give them a try! I really don’t know where to start!!!!! The presentation of the food, the cleanliness of the restaurant, the customer service OUTSTANDING, MRS. WANDA … her smile and patience…. Everything was very DEMUR… The Food WAS EXCELLENT… turkey wings… falls off bone, cornbread good, Mac and cheese, collard greens, fried chicken wings…DELICIOUS . Strawberry cake DELICIOUS!!! Everything is definitely home made. I will be back first impression was EVERYTHING!!! Thanks MRS. WANDA KEEP UP THE GOOD AND CONTINUE SMILING. 10/10 I RECOMMEND!
Great music that greets you at the door. You're able to see the food right in front of you. Good selection of choices. Just wish that the soul food places here in Atlanta sold turnip greens besides nasty collads but I digress. We spent around $40 for two plates and the two desserts. We were able to eat off the plates for both lunch and dinner so more than enough food. Baked Chicken comes with rice covered with gravy on top of choosing your sides. Cornbread was small but after eating everything else on your plate it makes sense why you don't need that much. Not as sweet as I would like it but my husband loved it so I have it to him.
