Is it not the staff which makes or break any establishment. The staff here seem to be incompetent or inexperienced in which neither are inviting if it's a health facility. I wouldn't take my dog to this hospital. Let's just start and stop with the staff if they're not qualified or not wanting to serve the public what type of a hospital do you have. Hospital, health, healing take trust if the staff isn't conducive to service how can a people trust the staff or their competency. Totally bad vibes coming from this establishment. I think it's only fair to note that I'm used to the service from the hospital in my former state of Ohio, "THE OHIO STATE HOSPITAL" Even Grant Medical Hospital is more professional than Whitfield Hospital Demopolsis, Alabama. I'd take my chances of traveling 1 hour to Tuscaloosa before going to this hospital. They apparently don't care for the people...
This has to be the worst hospital ever. I was in for a total of 45 minutes. Didn’t get anything explained for what was going on with my issue, they didn’t even give me discharge papers! The doctor wasn’t even a doctor lol this place was a joke. Thank goodness I’m still alive
The care we received during our visit was amazing! The staff went above & beyond.. from the nurses, to housekeeping. There wasn’t a single thing we ever had to ask for, and that’s saying something when you’re dealing with a child. Richard, our RN was so patient and sweet.. he took his time finding the best place to stick the IV so he didn't have to do it twice. Our lab tech was the same way, patient & calm… & only had to stick him once.. I wish I could remember her name.. she was amazing too! Our night nurse was super sweet, and quiet. She didn’t wake us a bit during the night while taking vitals, and that’s saying something! Everyone was always so helpful, and super friendly throughout the hospital. We are forever grateful for the excellent care we received.
I would never recommend this place to anyone, by far the worse hospital I’ve ever been or had family to go. It’s terrible how they treat the patients and their family. It’s sad that a patient has to prove that they need oxygen or to prove that they are in pain. Pain is what the patient says it is not what you assume it to be. I wouldn’t take my dog to this hospital.
My mother passed in February. She was in ICU. The nurses were remarkable, especially one named Mrs. Vanessa. My mother coded. They revived her and I was told that she would probably code again. A Dr. Roberts approached me as if he was tired and asked me what did I want to do if she coded again. He said "If I revived her, she won't be the same". Very rude. No compassion. He acted like he had better things to do. From my understanding, he was working ICU and ER. Always acting as if he's tired. I think they should go home and park if they're not up to the job. I also think that if you're a doctor, you should have a weight limit. Maybe that had something to do with his tiredness!
I had what I thought might be a mini stroke. Went to Whit Fitzgerald Clinic and the staff that saw me were awesome. Made me feel very comfortable and safe. Later that day, I had another problem with what I thought was related to the same thing. The staff at Fitzgerald moved fast and got me a CT scheduled over at Whitfield Regional Hospital very quickly. Everything moved so smooth and timely. To say the least, I was scared and did not know what to expect. The staff of the CT Dept. was very professional and answer every question I had. They were compassionate and explained every procedure to make me feel at ease. Later, I needed to get a copy of my CT scan for another doctor and had no problem getting it from them. A very successful adventure that could have really stressed me out. Thank you big time to the staff and the management of this hospital.........
I am a long standing ICU Trauma and Hospice Nurse of 30 years. I know good Healthcare when given. My 93 year old father in law was admitted to this hospital on life support. He was managed so well that he is off life support and was able to talk to me. WELL DONE
We were told to take my son to the ER for a mental health emergency. The African doctor, can't remember his name, was extremely rude, judgemental and used profanity. This so called doctor was very unprofessional. And he dared us to file a complaint. The dare is on!!!
