This place is awesome! Very friendly staff. We ate at the bar and was very well taken care of by both bartenders. They were awesome. We had a great time while enjoying some delicious fresh seafood. We had 2 apps, gator bites and crab bombs...OMG they were so so good. My seafood Fettuccine was delicious! Fresh is the keyword for this restaurant. We'll definitely will make this a regular place to eat.
This place is so fantastic. The seafood platters are out of this world. The local Davison area is lucky to have this restaurant. They have a separate take out section, which is a drive up that does not take away from the in person dining experience. I had the salmon and I have it at many restaurants, it was light and flaky and full of flavor.
On our way back from up north, we decided to stop and have lunch at Whitey's on M15 in Davison. Have never been there, but heard the food was very good and the decor was interesting. And at one time it was a dairy farm with the blueprints on the wall.
We were greeted immediately as we entered and were seated directly . The decor was very interesting from figureheads from the ships bow and a steering wheel from a ship to etched scenes on glass to stools that had actual legs for legs.????
Our server Ashley was outstanding! She did not rush us to order and she said several times "take your time". My wife asked her if there is something she might suggest and she replied "Great Lakes Catch" which came with soup and salad bar.
If you enjoy fish the "Great Lakes Catch" is the one to get. A combination of fresh water favorites: tender yellow lake perch fillets, sweet bluegill fillets, and Canadian walleye, lightly pan-fried.
My wife got the Great Lakes Catch????which came with soup and salad bar and a side which she picked the Sweet Potato Casserole and I got soup ???? and ???? salad bar. The meal also came with a freshly baked loaf of bread.
I must say that the New England Clam Chowder ???? was one of the best I have had. Very creamy with potatoes, corn, onion, bacon and of course clams.
The salad bar was loaded with a variety of items from pasta to a full assortment of veggies and condiments.
There was so much fish, my wife was able to share a small piece of each fish, plus some of the Sweet Potato Casserole.
Again, Ashley was so accommodating and helpful, which we really appreciated.
Whitey's is definitely a come back again for us and will hopefully have Ashley as our server.

we booked our work Christmas party there and so happy we did!
our reservation was confirmed the day of the event so ensure we still needed it. we were seated all at 1 table which was great. our server Ashley was super!!! she made our experience very enjoyable and she was very polite and fast. she attended our needs as perfectly as one could expect. food was amazing!
i asked if i could get the fish tacos in the coconut coating and Ashely was able to make it happen. everything was great and the drinks were powerful!! it has been a few years since we ate here and even that time it was great! every time we drive by its so packed and no reason why! we will be back.

We have been to Whitey's man times over the years and usually look forward to a trip back there. Whitey's has a very nice salad bar, their seafood choices are usually above average ,and the service is generally OK. On our recent visit our waitress was (Jul18) ,either Julia or Julie , and was absolutely the worst waitress we've had there , the dinners came cold , she didn't know how to clear dishes , fill glasses ,ect.... our visit was also invaded by a few house flies the entire time, which has occurred before. I looked for a manager on the way out to voice some concerns, but like typically, I have never noticed a managers presence on the floor. This has been and can be a great seafood restaurant again, but the management here has got a lot of tightening up to do to bring Whiteys back to the level that would of made the Hilgendorfs proud of it.
Best Bluegill I have ever had in my life!! The salad bar is phenomenal too!! Super friendly and professional service and it is very cool looking inside! This place rocks!!!
Just had lunch there the Food was AWSOME service was Great also DEFINITELY RECOMMEND
Pleasantly impressed. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a family dinner and birthday event. The parking was nice, and inside even better, as we found great staff and delicious food to satisfy a variety of tastes. I do credit their scallops, which were tender and full of flavor. The only downside is that I should have ordered a take out order to go! It was that good.
