Older motel , but convenient spot. It def needs a good renovation but it was very clean. Yes we checked , even for bed bugs. But it was fine. I mean how long are you in the room when you’re on vacation ? It was literally just to sleep. The AC was really good and our room was nice and cool. Rooms also have a small fridge in them. Our only true issue was the free WiFi. It stunk. They need WiFi extenders or something. It did not work.
Horrible. In german we say „Außen hui, innen pfui“.
We paid OVER 200$ for one room with 1 double bed and one sofa WITHOUT breakfast. As we’re doing a 10 week road trip, we’ve seen some rooms already (nearly all of them were cheaper) but none was as horrible as this one.
I had 5 (!!) hairs on my pillow, the room smelled damp and moldy, the shower was only accessible if you’re TINY because it was so narrow.
The remote of the TV didn’t work as well, so we had to unplug it to turn it off.
If the room would have costed 70$, we would have been okay with the conditions, but 212$ … no!
Not even the location justified the pricing - you still need 30 minutes to get to the Cog Railway / Mt. Washington.
Please spend a little more and get your moneys worth ????
Its old dated interior from the 70's, its kinda cool if you can appreciate vintage. Its a cozy feel. Part of the bathroom was newer. It was clean. My biggest complaint is the beds were horribly uncomfortable , sagging with springs popping and squeaky with just regular tossing n turning- which I did alot of. So cute from outside. ⁰
Very basic, somewhat shabby. My biggest gripe was that the wifi never worked for more than a minute at a time. The shower felt unsafe, like I was going to slip. Twin bed was uncomfortable and the mattress cover had hair on it. Road noise coupled with the extremely loud air conditioner made it impossible to hear the TV. So without wifi and TV I was pretty bored at night.
A bit antiquated, however the owner was very charming and accommodated us with all of our needs. A very good place to stay for the money!

Rooms need major updates. I couldn’t even use the plug outlet to charge cellphone (kept falling out of outlet) and there was only one plug outlet. The office and room had a musky “old house smell’. We were not comfortable with our room at all. Disgusting and I would NOT recommend this motel to anyone. Ended up leaving after an hr and went and stayed at Holiday Inn Express.
Rooms definitely need updating. It took me a while to figure out the ac and even after figuring it out it barely kept the room at 70 with the ac set at max cool all night. The thermostat on the wall did not control the fan speed or temp. Had to stand on the bed to control these directly on the ac unit. Several of the outlets did not work. No local guides in the rooms for possible food delivery, restaurants or things to do. No guide as to how to use the cable tv. The location is great, and the service is great, but the rooms need to be thoroughly updated and checked for electrical operations. The weekend rates are definitely too high for the condition of the rooms/hotel.
Very old place, small, dark and smelly rooms (humidity). Fall season is very expensive. I really don't recommend this place.
