Extremely helpful and friendly front desk manager Corinna. Location very convenient. Room ,2.5 star,and bedding was very clean , no sign of problems.(I do a pretty thorough check for bedbugs,check mattress under the sheets e g.-which I've found at more expensive places also so not just Mom and Pop shops), however the remodel work is not the best and could use some upkeep,paint, missing grout,better window coverings. The value is very good and I would stay again.

Great motel very comfy has hot water. Even though we were not in the motel but over all it’s very nice and comfy! 10:10

We didn't stay at White Sands this vacation, but we were shown one of the newly renovated rooms and it's gorgeous! We actually went to eat and we all had the crunchy taco special for $7 and it was delicious! The server was so sweet and nice, I forgot her name, but she was telling us about her husband that fishes for red snapper. We had a great meal for a great price. Every year we go there we make sure to eat here, next time we'll stay in one of the new rooms. Can't wait!
My boyfriend and I stayed at White Sands originally through a MMA fighting promotion that brought us here less than a month ago, and we have already decided to come back! The service here is absolutely wonderful and the owners are extremely kind & accommodating in every aspect. The White Sands restaurant just a few steps away is also amazing and SO AFFORDABLE (a huge homemade meal for $12 in this economy?)! We have tried everything from their burgers, enchiladas, fish poboys, fried chicken, breakfast tacos, nachos, onion rings, drinks, coffee, pancakes, cakes... and everything has been so spot on that we don't even bother looking anywhere else lol.
You can tell that the owners are working hard at bringing upgrades to the rooms as well. In just 3 weeks from the original time we stayed and came back, they had already upgraded all of the windows and some features in the bedroom. We also received a room with a full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, LARGE fridge) which was so helpful. This is also a great place to stay because its so close to South Padre but at a fraction of the price.
To top it all off... I have to travel with my bird when I go out of town and this inn happens to be pet friendly! I can't even begin to explain how relieving it is to be able to take her with me to places like this and White Sands is so kind and welcoming to not just my boyfriend and I, but to my feather baby.

We ended up getting a bite to eat here after our fishing trip and were highly satisfied by the quality of the food . We ended up getting the fired shrimp plate and the cheeseburger and fries . The food was hot and well seasoned ! Each one of the staff came and greeted us at our table and made sure we were well taken care of . I would Recommend this restaurant and would come back .
Vacationing from Aransas Pass,TX we stopped over because we had heard that the bartender (Johnny) who previously worked at Pier 19 which fortunately had burned down on S Padre Island, was now working here as their bartender. He was awesome then and even more so now! He especially makes an exceptional Tequila Mexican Martini! Happy hour was great with him and many laughs with friendly locals and “Winter Texans”.
We then enjoyed a fabulous dinner at their restaurant. My husband had the scrumptious oyster platter and I had a very tasty Grilled fish dinner with veggies. Our server, Vickie was excellent,. Very friendly, efficient and attentive. Overall experience was great and affordable. Plan on returning next time in town!
Amazing place...and the staff is very friendly.... the capitan Arturo makes you feel comfortable and safe.
We ate there today on February 11 , we have been coming here for roughly 40 years because of great food and prices, it’s been sold twice in the past few years, we ordered today and the menu says choose your egg style and potatoes, sausage or bacon , but when you go to pay your $11 meal turns into $18-$19 dollars per person because your orange juice is $4 than they charge you for your side that they ask you to choose as your side, that’s $2 than if you pay credit card they charge 4 percent. I will not go back again after being over charged . Plus they up charged $1 for large orange juice when we asked for kids size juice. Family tradition just changed ! Not going back to a rip off.
