I am fairly new to the area and have heard good things about The White House restaurant. I'm so glad I stopped. I got a ribeye and baked potato and salad. This was the best steak I've had in a long time . Everyone was so nice .They even have special on two steaks dinners on Friday's. I will definitely be back.
We are officially in the era where a sit down restaurant is cheaper than fast food. I had an extra large bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and my ticket was less than $13.00. The burger was massive, the onion rings were hand cut and breaded and also huge. Our waitress was amazing and stayed on top of everything like a pro. All in all, this restaurant is a 10/10 will visit again.
This was a great find. A gem of a restaurant. Exceptional Southern home cooking type food. I was there on a Monday and this is what was on the menu - fried chicken, smothered hamburger steak, chicken & dressing, spaghetti pie, baked fish, green beans, macaroni & cheese, broccoli & cheese, noodles & tomatoes, fried okra, turnip greens, purple hull peas, mashed potatoes & gravy, roll, cornbread, jalapeno cornbread, all kinds of cake, and peach cobbler, plus burgers, sandwiches, & salads. Simply amazing.
The service was great. Servers were on top of it. The atmosphere was that of a local Mom & Pop restaurant. There were a lot of customers at 3 & 4 PM, which says a lot about a restaurant.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. Had some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Was extra crispy, yet juicy. Pay the additional cost for their chicken and dressing, I could make a meal out of it alone. Will go back anytime I’m back in the area
Great atmosphere. Small Town feel. People were friendly, even other patrons. Food was excellent! Great place for aeat and three plate!
This restaurant was around when I was a kid and I remember how great it was back then. Today was the first time I’ve been since my childhood and I was a bit disappointed . This fish was wonderful and the pie was delicious, but our waiter hardly came to our table. She finally came to refill our drinks when we was done eating and getting ready to leave. Definitely should have people sitting folks also because I literally stood out on the middle of the place waiting for the one bus guy to clean tables. And other folks were just jumping in places and I didn’t even know where to stand or if I just stood by a dirty table and wait for the guy to clean up.
I had the veggie plate and the portions were large. I couple of the vegetables, steamed okra and greens, were not fresh tasting...low quality. Service was quick and atmosphere was "down home" cozy.
Service is friendly and efficient here,place is clean and the hamburger steak,meatloaf and fried chicken are the best options for meat I would recommend getting 4 sides with it cause all the veggies are terrific.Tea tastes like tea and not water so that’s a plus and you get in and out fairly quickly.One of the better southern restaurants in the county.
