I grew up on these burgers in Jersey, and to this day, takes me right back to my childhood, and I was happy to be able to indulge , only this time in Tennessee. Just as delicious as I remember. I also had their onion rings which were delicious, only thing is I can never figure out if to eat them alone or with a sauce. I didn't care for the brownie stick but over all 9 out of 10, there was this older gentleman behind the counter who was just the sweetest to my daughter and I.
We enjoy visiting White Castle now and then. Worse visit ever, after a long wait looked at watch and waited a tad over ten minutes for anyone to come to take our order. A few polls got waited on before us a few were waiting when we came in.
Manager waited on people at register and went to prepare food with same gloves. He was one of two people (other at drive thru) who had hair covered. Three food preparers did not have hair covered and one has braids, no lie-past waist almost to knees. She continually batted at her hair which often would land on the counter behind her or in front of her. That braid has to be nasty and that crap should be contacted.
Again, we don't expect a five star place but there was no pride taken in wearing gloves, covering hair, or picking up the place inside or out.
If we were secret shoppers I suspect most employees would be given a warning
Food inspectors?
What a very disappointing visit I have always loved WC especially in Chicago. Long story story we love letting our children experience new things when we are traveling but from the moment we entered whom I believe was the supervisor on duty he was impatient, he didn’t suggestive sale anything, he took some of our order walked away did paperwork while I was still trying to order along with fixing food, I asked for the bathroom code he rudely and basically said it one number at a time extra slow like I was deaf or something, the dining area was filthy, I finished my order and told him my son was going to order the man walked away needless to say my son didn’t order anything. My food had so much seasoning in the bag it was just distasteful experience it was barely storming and the computer system started to go out the supervisor was talking about closing the store and going home
I don't even know where to start..Soon as I landed in Nashville I had the urge for the one of a kind sandwiches, so this location was chosen...BIG MISTAKE.
Soon as we entered, we walked into a male and female coworker arguing and calling each other B****s and other explicit/inappropriate words. The two continued to argue with the male threatening to physically assault the female coworker (Can't make this up). The manager was not any better as he was more focused on listening to the argument while make us and other patrons wait to place an order. He then goes and starts making orders, while the other 4- 5 employees are standing around gossiping as this behavior must be common practice starting with the manager.
Once the manager decided to take our order, we were met with attitude and no patience as we provided our orders.
Now comes the food, 3 of our 5 sliders were cold and both double sliders were luke warm. The cheese was not fully melted on the sandwiches and the bread was soggy all around....Totally an unacceptable experience all around..
My instincts told me to go to the Nolensville Pike location and I hate I didn't listen...Never again.
My first time going to White castles I’ve heard such good things and was excited to try the food.
*service was extremely rude rushing I asked what slushes were served and I got the response it was on the menu and I stated I couldn’t see the screen well and she said well it’s on the menu. After everything I said I got the response is that all before I could even finish my sentence. My food was cold and wrong. Will not be going back.
I e been on the drive thru line several times and it’s taken a long time!
So this time, I downloaded the app and ordered ahead, and it was ready in 10 minutes, and I walked in and it was waiting for me!
It has that White Castle taste for sure!
Yeah its a white castle, and we were there after midnight, but this place was struggling. We were there for an hour total. At first we were pretty understanding, but then the staff started to get more than rude with us. They told us that they had a backlog of mobile orders to work through, so they needed to wait to take our order. This was fine. About 25-30 minutes later, we asked if it would be faster or more efficient for us to make a mobile order ourselves. One of the employees said "yeah actually that would probably be faster since it'll be in the system." So I placed a mobile order and while my cousin was trying to get the app going, another employee said she could take the order. My cousin asked me what I wanted, but I told her that I'd already just made the order on the app.
Later, my cousin gets her order and we're just waiting on mine. After maybe 20 minutes, the employee who took and gave my cousin her order asked what she was still waiting on, and she replied that we were waiting on my mobile order. The employee, clearly frustrated, said that we needed to tell her that we had a mobile order. I suppose she didn't understand when we'd told her that I had made a mobile order when my cousin ordered.
Then, another employee asks about my mobile order. I recap it to him. He said that I had only paid $14.53 online, but my order was actually $16+. We went over the order again, and he said that I had a combo, which I did not. He ran it again, and it was still $16+. I was also getting frustrated at this point, saying that the mobile order confirmation I had included the items and tax, but im fine paying whatever difference he's showing on his end just to get this taken care of. He ended up giving me my order at the $14.53 price that I'd paid on the app, and we left after spending an hour there.
I should mention also that the bathrooms have a combination number that has to be entered into the door handle in order to access the restroom. The number is at the bottom of the receipt, however this number was not correct, so that wasn't updated.
I understand they were busy, however they didn't seem too understaffed. They had at least 6 people that I counted in the kitchen. We were very understanding but then they started to get frustrated which resulted in us getting frustrated.
I only ate here because of the nostalgic memories of growing up as a kid in New Jersey... Honestly, I wasn't sure if I was gonna get robbed from either side of the register. If I wanted an onion burger, I would've ordered an impossible vegan burger with nothing but, soggy bread and shredded-slice of a burger patty!
