White Castle is more than just a fast-food chain—it’s a piece of nostalgia wrapped in tiny square burgers. Known for its iconic sliders, this place has a charm that keeps people coming back for decades.
The cheeseburger, a timeless classic, embodies everything people love about White Castle. It’s simple, flavorful, and satisfying in that perfectly nostalgic way. Each bite feels like stepping back in time, evoking memories of late-night cravings and road trips.
For me, White Castle wasn’t just a destination for food—it was also a bucket list stop thanks to Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. The cult classic comedy immortalized the brand, and I couldn’t resist seeing what all the fuss was about.
Aside from the cheeseburgers, I gave the mac and cheese bites a try, and they were surprisingly good. Creamy and crispy, they’re an indulgent addition to the menu that pairs well with the sliders. However, I’d recommend skipping the chicken slider—it didn’t quite hit the mark.
It is a magical place that you must visit when you visit Chicago.
After being the only one there and waiting an hour for the most basic meal I left. I had paid and was starving but I was late for an appointment. My first time at a white castle and I still don't know how the food is. Also I gotta say I know it's a fast food place but kind of impressed how disgusting the place was, floors tables etc. It all makes me think they're understaffed they probably don't want to hire anybody or pay a decent wage
Restaurant was completely dirty, not a clean table to sit at. Homeless man hanging out in the store begging for change(for quite a few minutes even after being told no multiple times). The one staff member eventually told him to go do her a favor and put the chairs up on the tables so he'd leave us alone(instead, he sat down not far from us). Between the nastiness of the tables and this man rambling very loudly for the entire time I stood in the restaurant, I had to leave to be able to eat, which made the experience that much worse. It was gross and not worth the money. Slider and chicken. Staff attitude was also incredibly poor. Never again.
White Castle is a place that's good to eat. Food was on point and the service was excellent. Loved the vibes, food was great, and got food quickly. Definitely will continue to there and recommend it if your in the area.
Stopped to use the bathrooms and a get a snack. The employees were laughing and talking super loud with each other and ignoring customers. Sketchy place. Dirty. The slums. Ghetto. No management.
I wish they would tell you if the wait is over 30 minutes before you get into the drive through line with no escape. The way the drive thru line is set up, there is a curb that will not allow for you to drive off if you've had enough.
The food... is this even real food?
The attitude of the employees scream they don't want to be there.
It's a no for me; even if it's the last thing open. I would rather go to bed hungry.
Really weird place due to the cashier. I came in the redeem a coupon and this young man said, "Bruh" like it's not his job to make us food. Then proceeded to slouch completely over and unprofessionally make noises and sighs like pushing a button cost him everything. Attitude issues and sociopathic nuances plague the area. Another customer had to tell them to "Stop tweaking" before my order was put in. I'm definitely coming back to order again!
