Gosh, I've been going to White Castle for many decades. I always loved them, so when I get a chance to stop at one like this one, I do
10/29/24: I stopped in again on my way to WV. I got my usual double White Castles with ketchup. They were juicy and steamed just right with lots of delicious onions. I had 4 of them, and they tasted like they always did. I washed it down with a diet Barqs root beer, a rare thing to find in a fast food restaurant nowadays. I wish there was a White Castle near me in Charleston WV!
What you get with White Castle is consistency, whether its 10 at night after a shift at work or 2 in the afternoon, its always tasting the same. It’s nostalgic to me for some reason even though I never had White Castle when I was younger I love going here every once in a while due to it being super cheap and despite the lack of quality, I think they taste pretty good. Its not amazing by any means no but if you crave it its next level. Inside is always very very clean and staff is exceptional, took a while to get help for my order, even though there was nobody in the drive-thru, but they were nice and sweet. I go here about 2 times a month and the food somehow always manages to be amazing. However I will take off a star, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING A SODA FROM HERE. The Freestyle machine either never works or makes the Sodas taste really bad. Overall, good job White Castle, you remain as one of the most over-hated fast food spots but you’re a great one to me.
My wife and I stopped here on the way home from New York. This is definitely one of the best white castle we been at. Everything was clean and organized, staff is super friendly and food is always good when you on the road. And cute little story on back of the burger was sweet.
I really hope white castle will be around when I can take my own kids here, maybe traveling back from new York on a snowy day; he/she can get the same experience I had when I’m younger.
I was born in Brooklyn and live in Florida anytime I see a White Castle when I'm out of the state I have to stop and buy cartons of White castles WOW the Best
No one was in the restaurant dining when we got there. We waited for a while for someone to take our order. There were folks behind the counter and no one said “we’ll be with you in a moment”. It was sort of odd.
The burgers were underwhelming. They seemed soggy like they were just steamed by the microwave. The fries were good. The place was clean.
Cashier at the counter was great, sliders were cooked to order and were pretty good. One complaint, no napkins. I only got 2 paper towels for napkins for the 20 sliders and 4 small fries. Also, restroom feels like a good place to be stabbed, but I think White Castle overall is proud of that reputation which is why you have to get buzzed in at other locations. I mean it is kind of nice to have some reading material while using the restroom, so the urban graffiti is a nice touch. ????
As someone raised on White Castle in Brooklyn, New York, it’s no surprise that I absolutely love these tiny, mighty burgers. Growing up, they were a staple of my childhood and to this day, they never fail to satisfy. I’m lucky that the in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, is just across the bridge from my small town in Pennsylvania, making it the only nearby location where I can enjoy this classic flavor.
What makes this location even more special is the incredible woman who manages it. She’s the epitome of kind-hearted, homestyle service. The way she warmly calls you “honey” at the drive-through and treats every guest like they’re stepping into her home is a rare and memorable experience. It’s the kind of service I grew up with in New York, and it’s a joy to see it alive and well here in Phillipsburg.
Thank you, White Castle, for not only bringing a taste of home closer to me but also for the exceptional service that keeps me coming back.
So this was my 1st time ever at a white castle... the people that work her were super super nice!! Loved the customer service experience for sure.... and I ordered 2 items... I got an original slider to get the original experience lol... and it was really a great burger! Then I saw that they fun chicken rings so I got those... very fun I really liked them... but flavor was like thin frozen nuggies nothing special...
The worst experience was in the bathroom... I saw that there was only 2 working at the time... so it would be very hard for them to clean adequately to standards... so I suggest someone from corporate come by and help them clean up... it would have been a better experience if I didn't walk into that.
