Man. I waited 36 years for a soggy sandwich of disappointment. Living between PA and DE my entire life, I just never had a chance to try real fresh white castle. Had the frozen kind of course. But when on a trip for my kids sports team, we changed our plans of going to Popeyes for this as soon as we saw it. It's a bucket list thing to go to the place Harold and Kumar had an entire movie based around. I waited 36 years to try it. The workers were nice. They even seemed confident handing us our food as they saw our excitement.
We got our burgers and they were soggy, gross, and I'ma be honest, it tastes like liver and onions. It's freaking GROSS. I would rather have a gas station taquito, straight up. We told them and they made another batch fresh, especially since we spent $30 for 3 people to eat... McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, I'd so much rather have any one of them. Absolutely disgusting. Idk how those people eating in there keep coming back. They must be the type that likes the food in jail. The frozen ones even have a thicker burger than this. Idk how their frozen stuff is better than what this one had but it was. Enjoy y'all! It wasn't for us! These pics are of the second "quality checked" batch. ????♀️ Imagine how soggy and gross our first batch looked...
Everyone is always making fun of me and my family for loving White Castle! We traveled allll the way from North Carolina and stayed over in Maryland for a day just to enjoy some “Hometown” food for my son’s 21st bday! Neither I nor the kids were disappointed. They said it was worth the travel and thanked me! #ThankGod
The guy that took my order and the one that gave me my order were so nice. And I went in on black Friday so I'm sure they had been through it that day, but they were very very nice. That alone brings me back. Everyone knows their little square burgers are the hitters. Very very good
Everything was surprisingly & astonishingly great! I wish they had trays available for customers dining-in of course however, the 1921 Burgers were OUTSTANDING! They also have an orderly operation that you can see for preparing food which is neat! The inside has plenty of room for dining-in & nice seating, the menu has a decent variety, & the customer service was SPECTACULAR! ????
I love the little burgers but my husband hated them. I really like the cheddar rings. The onion rings are a new kind of awful and should just be removed from the menu entirely so no one in the future is subjected to them again!
They have a coke freestyle machine which is cool.
The interior is very outdated and not very clean.
Also I'd say they're kinda pricey for the quality. I might love them but I know that's solely due to having them in my childhood. If I tried them for the first time as an adult I'll admit I'd probably never be back.
I don't eat burgers but I do white castle burgers once a year. This was my yearly visit and it was great. Those little burgers just hit the spot. Got cheeseburgers, onion rings , Mac and cheese nuggets . Even the lemonade was extra delicious this time. Never had the Mac and cheese bites but they were really good. Born and raised in the Bronx , these have always been the only cheeseburgers I eat. I'll be back next year!
Loved these burgers for years. Decided to stop for lunch. Very disappointed buns were very very soggy, burger tasted burnt (tasted like the grill wasn't clean) I'll give another location a try,
It was very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. There was no long wait. Prices were comparable to other fastfood restaurants. Really enjoyed my first visit
