Great little place in East Glacier. Convenient if you’re staying anywhere in town. Had the Spanish omelette and huckleberry French toast one morning, both so good! Went for lunch another day and we had the pulled pork sandwich with creamy bolognese soup. Both great. The chicken rice bowl was good too, it just comes with a LOT of slaw and heavy on the vinegar.
Would come back again : )
We had a great meal and were surprised by the variety on the menu. I really enjoyed the curry chicken soup and the salad. All of the veggies were fresh and tasty. Another person had the burger and said it was excellent. It is self service and you have to get up to order but that seemed to be reflected in the pricing. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
Excellent restaurant! Our group had the steak sandwich, rice bowl, BLT, and pulled pork sandwich. Appreciated supporting a local farm to table owner who also runs the Summit Mountain Steakhouse. We also ate there and another five stars around on our steaks and the huckleberry cheesecake! Highly recommend both restaurants.
A nice clean place with good food in East Glacier. Only thing not as good as hoped was the huckleberry lemonade. I haven't had any other huckleberry lemonades, but this one didn't have much huck, mostly lemon. It was like they took a single huckleberry and dunked it in the lemonade for a minute... I can't recommend that particular offering. Everything else was great. The chili was excellent, the steak sandwich wonderful. The huckleberry cheesecake WAS worth the time! There was definitely enough huckleberry in that to taste and enjoy. Take note that pricing is typical of a "tourist" area and more similar to California than Montana. All in all, a fine place and worth stopping in for simple good food.
If you are looking for your reason to stop here I have photo's! Breakfast was AMAZING. I was seated by a window with this magnificent view of the mountains behind the town. The local dogs raced around the streets. Alexandra was very polite, quick, and very kind. I myself have been a waitress so I always bus up my own table for people who take my order.
I had a hot chocolate and that was delicious. For my meal I had the Caramel Apple Stuffed French Toast and yes that's a mouth full to say! Golden Fluffy and Gooey on the inside with cream cheese, cinnamon notes and apple pieces this was a sweet tooth's dream!
I had a side order of the breakfast potatoes which has red and green bell peppers and diced onions. cooked to perfection I was very pleased with them.
The chairs have socks on the bottom of them to prevent them from scratching the floor and I was a fan of it. Thought it was adorable. The paper towel holders are also very neat. I love the set up. I was told the building is about 5 months old. So it was very clean and hardly much on the walls but it was cozy and really made for a memorable stop.
Enjoyed a very good breakfast here and coffee is awesome. Short, pleasant walk from our hotel this restaurant is employed by some of the nicest people from around the world. Service was exemplary and atmosphere is so comfortable & clean. My husband & I recommend the Angry Bear & South of the Border! Efe our server was very friendly and attentive.
Odd flow for ordering process and service is semi-self serve. But the staff was very friendly. Amazing food!! Mushroom and Swiss burger was delicious and the side of potatoes were fresh and hot. Great Kids menu with multiple food choices. Relaxed atmosphere. Definitely would recommend.
The huckleberry French toast was phenomenal and all the omelets my table had were amazing. I had the high top omelet and it may have been the best omelet I have had!
Our server Paul was super friendly as well and had all of our food out swiflty as a moose slipping down the icy slopes.
10/10 would eat again!
