We paid $38 for two breakfast skillets. For that price, I was expecting something exceptional. I ordered a make your own skillet with onions, cheese, peppers & turkey sausage. What I got was unseasoned eggs on top of unseasoned potatoes & the cheese I ordered was not present. I also ordered an english muffin, asked twice for butter, but it was not delivered. Luckily we brought the food home where I had butter. My beau ordered the Tex Mex skillet, which he enjoyed, thus the 2 stars. He asked for strawberry jam & the cashier stated it was a homemade blend. It wasn't blended at all-just a smashed strawberry that could not spread over the toast. I was highly disappointed. My homemade breakfast runs circles around this place. I guess this is the punishment I got for being too lazy to cook.
5/12/24: Stopped here for breakfast on a Sun morning. Got an order of pancakes(3) w/strawberries, hash browns, bacon, eggs that came with toast. Lemonade to drink.
Pancakes were good. Soft and fluffy, with a slight buttermilk taste. Strawberries weren't ripe at all though; barely any sweetness in them, though it happens often at other places. It would have been better with good maple or cane syrup; they had Log Cabin, but that doesn't cut it for me(usually bring my own, but sadly, I ran out of mine days prior). Bacon was fully crisp(including the fat, though there was little fat on them ????????), hash had a good balance of crispy exterior/fluffy interior, and the eggs were moist. The toasted bread was pretty rustic; more than I expected and in a good way, since i usually expect whimpy bread; it made for a nice little bacon+egg sandwich. Lemonade was ???????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????? lemonade, and not the syrup+water lemonade, so that was also good.
Server with the tattoos was very attentive and checked in on me often, despite being busy. Had a great experience and will be back =03.
It was quite a busy store, I loved my food very much which is avocado toast. The thing they can do better is the chicken and waffles which my friend got, which is chicken strips, I was a little disappointed tbh.
Would go back and try some other stuff
Very cool little place. Great food selections & friendly staff. I will definitely be back. Only a stones throw from the Detroit Zoo. Highly recommend!
I had an Irish coffee and their "Hippie Omelet" with Parmesan cheese grits, cinnamon raisin bread, and fresh raspberry jam. So so good!
Boy, o boy, was this a surprise for my mouth! I was in town and wanted a nice brunch, and I can say this place definitely delivered that! Hostess was a Lil dry, but the waitress was super polite and attentive. Now let's get on the food it came out fast and PERFECT. THOSE ???? was a highlight, and that fried chicken egg benedictine made my mouth water. O, and the grits were outstanding. The little twist that they put on them was amazing. Even my mimosa was on point! U have to go and try they have a large menu, and it's in a cozy, cute little building.
