Decided to try this place in the Conyers and it was nice so we went twice in one week. The first time I had a Fish sandwich with onion rings and it was surprisingly good. The second time I had the Catfish Plate and the fish was... fishy and not that great. My husband had the fried shrimp and it was hard and rubbery. Looks like 2 time was enough.
My husband and I are fairly new to Conyers and we’ve been wanting to try this local spot. We were greeted at the door (very nice young lady) and then promptly seated. They had a young guy playing guitar in the corner which was enjoyable. Unfortunately that is where are enjoyable experience ended… The guy waiting on us started off ok but then basically abandoned us. We got our first round of drinks and then nothing. After about an hour with no appetizer…..I finally had to go up to the front and ask the lady to see if she can find our waiter and maybe check on our food. She quickly said…”oh I saw your order sitting back in the kitchen. Your server must be in the bathroom or in his car”. Whaaat?? Seriously?? Also all of the other servers were running around taking care of shit. Our guy walked around so slowly it was killing me! But that’s not all. Finally our “food” comes out. I got the meatloaf. Honestly I knew it was going to be bad as soon as I saw it. It had the texture of cat food pâté. The sweet potato fries were stale and my husband’s meal was the same. I really wanted to like this place but sadly it’s a no for me.
The voodoo drink was good had a lot of different liquor in one glass. The food on the other hand was edible but not pleasant. We ordered the shrimp roll appetizers and the daily special of fried scallops, the dishes were miniature even for appetizers. I thought it couldn’t get worst but wait for it, the order of Hot French dip sub put the nail in the coffin. The sub was bland even with the dipping sauce. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for food but for drinks you should be okay.
This is a cute train station themed restaurant right near the train tracks in Conyers and it's pretty okay. The staff is very friendly and the food was good. I loved the fried brussel sprouts that were on special when we went on a Friday. They have a good variety of items and the restaurant seems pretty clean. The fried cheesecake was really good.
My fiancee and I went here this evening 11/10/24. All the food we've ever gotten here is delicious. The server was very nice..at first. My fiancee's beer had just run out and there was an older gentleman walking by and asked if he needed a refill and he replied yes please. I caught on to the situation and I was like "Babe, I think that was her manager, you need to apologize to her." Anyway so he proceeds to do that. After that the server had an attitude that I did not appreciate with smart ass comments such as "Are you ready to reorder?" My fiancee replied not yet and she said "Oh, my manager told me to come check on you." "Are y'all gonna have a dessert or no?" Clearly pushing us to leave. It was the tone and the attitude for me. Because of this, we did not order anything more and went somewhere else. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were pleasant (minus the angry waitress).
The owner and staff at this Tavern are sooo welcoming and accommodating! They allowed us to have an awesome time for my girl's Bachelorette Turn-Up last Thursday! We.will dfntly be bck!
Met up with some friends for dinner. Took a while to get served, but the server was kind of hot! Anyway, she was spread out thin waiting on almost every table in the place. I got the chicken fingers and fries. 3 small chicken fingers cooked in well used oil. Wasn't terrible but wasn't that great either. Maybe just a bad night. Will try again someday.
Server must have been new. Waited forever to get drinks. Food came out different times, 2 plates out of 3 were missing items, waited for silverware, eggs were crispy on the edges ???? and cold. Potatoes were cold. Had to ask for the biscuit I ordered, it came with no butter or jelly/jam.... even after asking for it. I questioned if the sausage was turkey and was informed by the rude mgr it was. Not a good experience, the only thing was the atmosphere. Server was trying but apparently he was the only one there. I'm retired food service and it was definitely way below par.
