I met with a friend here to talk about life.
First off, there's parking available right next to the cafe and a parking garage a couple of feet away.
There is seating inside & outside. We sat inside.
The customer waits in line to order their food, drinks, and pays for their meal. We were given a number to display on our table.
I like the fact that we ordered and paid so we didn't have to wait for a server to bring us a check.
Immediately after sitting down, they brought us our coffee. Our food came out within minutes. Their service was so quick!
Once we were eating, they kept coming up to us to ask if we were okay. Great customer service. They even asked us if we were okay because we weren't eating lol; yet, we weren't eating because we were so enthralled in our conversation.
It was so kind of them to check in on us and ensure there was nothing wrong with our food.
I'd definitely recommend this cafe.
If you've ever been to Davis, this place is a lot like Crepeville.

Welcome to the whisper cafe. This is a great breakfast place with fast service. I recommend the Greek omelet. This place serves breakfast,lunch and dinner. Beer and wine is available with h a wide variety to choose from. They have outside seating and are dog friendly. There plenty of parking outside and accept cash and card. Breakfast in Downtown San Jose in the SoSA district. Eggs Benedict, omelette, crepes, coffee, etc. Order at the counter, they bring the food very quickly, friendly staff, good lookin menu.
I loved that they offer patio seating. Its a great location if you are strolling through the Downtown, San Carlos Street area. Crepes were very good. Although, I am not a huge fan of the order at the counter and take a number. If you're going to encourage me to tip the server, I would prefer to be served. I tip anyway! Staff was friendly and food arrived very quickly. The Pomegranate Mimosa was refreshing without a super sweet juice. I highly recommend.

The best way for me to describe this place is to tell you to think of a more pleasant and way tastier IHOP or Denny's experience.
From the outside, the place looks like one of those older steak joints in Vegas. You know, the $2.99 steak spots, but cleaner and nicer. Don't let that prevent you from going in. The inside is super cute and nothing like what I expected. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is clean and cool.
I love real brewed iced tea and they have it. The service is also great and the food came out within minutes, which caught me off guard. We didn't have time to take our phones out and check social media, which was funny. This was the case for every table. Everyone's food was coming out within minutes and everyone seemed happy with their food.
I recommend the fish and chips, or the Texan BBQ Savory Crepe. They were yummy and very filling.
Nice brunch place right next to the San Jose State University campus. Lots of great brunch options like crepes, benedicts and omelettes, as well as sandwiches and soups. They also have adult beverages like beer and mimosas. Lots of seating both indoor and outdoors. Great brunch spot in downtown San Jose.
Food was superb, but the coffee was disappointing. Tried the regular coffee and "espresso". Regular coffee was totally acceptable: light on flavor for my taste, but many people prefer this "diner-style" coffee with breakfast. The espresso, however, was terrible. It was very watered down: slightly stronger than the regular coffee. I sent it back hoping it was a fluke and the replacement was the same. I even checked and they are making it on a real espresso machine, so perhaps the procedure is off (grind size, weight, water to bean ratio, or machine setup). I still paid for it because of the honest effort to make it right and I did drink it for the caffeine.
The food was truly excellent (had a Florentine benedict with potatoes and a fruit crepe). The benedict was a good portion with perfectly cooked eggs and the crepe was one of the best I've had. I love how the fruit crepe is only sweetened by the fruit and a light drizzle of honey allowing the crepe itself to shine.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because this is a cafe and if you offer espresso, it should attempt to match the superior quality of the food. I believe this can be fixed with a little research and an afternoon of experimentation.
