My partner and I started going here because of the proximity to where we both live, but this quickly became our new “neighborhood bar”. The staff is super friendly and works hard at building a rapport with their customers. Our favorite bartenders include Erica, Tiffany, and Britney. Will is also an excellent manager. Erica recently rolled out a “fall drink” menu and let me tell you… these are so cute and so fun! The Pirate Cider is our new favorite!
Went for happy hour today. Great specials for drinks. Service was awesome. Can’t remember our server but she was attentive and friendly. Food came out fast and hot. I don’t know why you wouldn’t come here for drinks or to watch games. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town.
We started visiting this whiskey wings location again as soon as we heard the management changed! It doesn't disappoint. The staff is friendly, the food is great (lots of choices) their drinks prices are awesome for the area and we have seen not only a bunch of fun good live bands there but also they have events during the week nights too. We are grateful for the new management as they welcome in a better crowd and they are helping to bring the neighborhood clients back in and replace the crowd with fun people again. This is just what the area needed!
The new managers have come out to check on us and our tables during our visits and we are definitely going to be coming back and meeting more new people. We love all the new updates coming to this location and it's fun to have a bar like this bringing friends and locals all back together again.
Love this Whiskey Wings location! The team here goes above and beyond to make sure customers are taken care of and feel welcome. Dax and Will have elevated the service and atmosphere! The food is great…salads, wraps and burgers are all awesome! Five stars ⭐️ all around!
Staff was friendly…but
The food was not great. I ordered 1lb of boneless sweet and spicy Asian wings side of fries and fried pickles. First impression of the chicken was that this could be found in the frozen food section. Upon biting into them my suspicion was confirmed. The chicken was very dry and tough. The fried pickles could have used extra time in the fryer and the fries could have use less. It was not a pleasant eating experience at all. It may have been an off night for the cooks but I will probably not come back for chicken here.
I visited Whiskey Wings in St. Pete this past Saturday and opted to sit out on the patio to have a bit more space. There was a sign indicating we could seat ourselves without needing to check in, so we found a table and settled in. After waiting for what felt like quite a while without being acknowledged, I finally went inside to let the server know we were out there.
Unfortunately, things didn’t improve much from there. Almost all of our food came out wrong, though it was unclear whether it was an issue with the kitchen or if the server had entered the order incorrectly. Throughout the visit, we had to keep hunting down our server for drink refills and other basic needs, only to find them consistently chatting with other staff members, seemingly paying more attention to socializing than the guests. Needless to say, the service was disappointing.
On the bright side, the wings were fantastic! The hot sauce lived up to its name, delivering a serious kick, but it was the kind of heat that didn’t linger too long, making it really enjoyable. So while the service was a definite miss, the wings were definitely a hit.
A great local go to. The food is always consistent and their specials are well priced. The service is good especially when they they retain the good bartenders and servers, unfortunately they seem to have a pretty high turnover.
The attentiveness of the staff depends on which staff are working, as some or on point and others are in lalaland.
The kitchens cooking is also hit or miss, as sometimes you'll get a great meal and other times I've had to throw my meal out because the meat was gross or the side dishes had nasty flavors.
They've got a nice selection of your typical bar fare, but again, it can be hit or miss depending on who is in the kitchen.
There are a lot of regulars that visit this place, but that's probably because it's right next to an apartment complex.
They have live bands occasionally, along with trivia and karaoke nights.
I don't drink, so I'm not sure about any drink specials, but they do have daily food specials.
