I showed up with my family on 12/15/24 at 8:20pm. I asked the lady behind the bar if we were able to take a seat and have dinner. She explained the grill was shut down but only for appetizers, unfortunately. Why the grill shuts down over an hour and half before closing is absolutely ridiculous. The beer selection is always great, wonderful job! We were able to get appetizers, only to see our nachos were burnt. We notified our waitress and she didn't show any interest in resolving the situation. The bone in wings were awesome and so were the tacos. The waitress didn't show much initiative in us,we were the only people sitting at a table by the Christmas tree. I work in a customer service position myself and I always make sure it is my top priority. I'm hoping the staff here will change their ways soon as this will deter me and the many people I know around town from stopping by. Another restaurant I called,had the same closing time, before I sat down had their grill open for dinner, I regret not going over there. The Whiskey Tavern can be a great place to go to and bring my family, hopefully the staff step up their game in the future.
We sat out on the patio and it was a beautiful day. The inside seating was available we just chose outside. I will say that inside is very open and it is loud with the music going and bar right there. If you are a person looking for a quieter atmosphere you would be better outside. Our waitress was Jenny and she was phenomenal! The food was great and I got the special wrap which was turkey, bacon, avocado was really yummy. My only complaint is that they should have filled the wrap up a little more. Definitely would go back again.
Nice clean place on the water.Nice outdoor deck to enjoy with a great view.Service was very good .Good was pretty good also with ample portions.Prive point is a little up there on many items though
First time there since coming back to Laconia for a visit...great atmosphere with a nice indoor bar...plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio with a beautiful view...and a lower outside bar with tables as well...a busy Saturday with a ton of bikes...definitely a great biker destination...only about a year old...music inside that night...more of a bar food menu but a better than average bar food...loved the pennies laminated bar top...I had a California wrap that was good and a very good Espresso Martini to end the evening...will definitely visit again...great place to watch football with large selection of big screen tv's...
Everything about this place is great! We had Jenny as our waitress and even though she had a lot of tables she never missed a beat! Great friendly attentive staff, food was amazing ! We had nachos that were REAL GOOD! I had the steak and mash potato’s as my meal and my husband had a burger and fries and we greatly enjoyed it all! They had live music that was hard to not dance along too, did some great cover songs! Highly recommend
Good food but tough service and atmosphere.
The food was very good for a casual place. My party of four ordered nachos to start then sandwiches or entrees for dinner. The portions were reasonable sizes and the food well cooked and tasty. My only complaint on food was that one dish was missing an aioli listed as part of the menu item and another a side of ranch we requested when ordering. This ties into the service, which was lacking and slow. Our server was new to the restaurant and possibly waiting tables; she forgot to bring us things like side plates for our appetizers, napkins, silverware, etc. The manager brought what we needed and told she was keeping an eye on everything to help with the learning curve. We never heard from her again and had to flag down our waitress a few times.
The restaurant is loud. The acoustics are bad, there seems to be nothing to soften the noise from the dining area, which is open to the second story ceiling. I’m not sure what this building hosted before but it has the look of an old car dealership.
Awesome meal at the bar! Steak tips were extremely tender. Onion rings were nice and crispy. Coleslaw was delicious. we ate at the bar. Kaitlyn was a server, she was very attentive and personable.
The food was incredible. A 100/10!!!!
The service and staff amazing!! Highly refvoment everyone come here. The price is more than affordable. An absolute treat for the entire family to enjoy, especially picky eaters.
