I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and let me tell you, this is a *proper* Philly cheesesteak! The bread was moist yet crispy. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The peppers and onions were fully cooked, delicious, and just the right texture. The cheese was melted and mixed fantastically into the sandwich, blending it all together, creating the perfect pocket of gooey deliciousness. If you want a Philly, this is the place to come!
I really love the vibe of this place on the first visit, and all of the staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I will certainly be returning here regularly.
Whiskey River: lots of bombs & shots. I wish they had a Vicks Formula 44! Went for appetizers only: GF crinkle-cut sweet potato fries were really good--substantial serving size and hefty planks. (I've never had issue with fryer cross contamination). So many menus--look at these b4 heading in. We scored a high top table by the open air side.
We went on a Friday night and it was busy, but the servers were attentive and the food good.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately that was about all that was exemplary about this place. We saw the waitress maybe twice during our hour here, which was odd because it was a Sunday afternoon and the place was mostly empty. Beverages weren't refilled. One of the orders was incorrect...but we weren't able to get it mended since the waitress was nowhere to be seen. The beer and mixed drinks are a bit pricey for what you get. I know it's a bar serving a college crowd, but if you are going to be open on a Sunday afternoon and advertise brunch specials (bloody mary bar) you should really be prepared to offer brunch-level service.

Whiskey River is a hiiiiittttt!!! First time being here and had a great experience. Had 4 different people check on our table during our time there, and they were all very friendly. Drinks were good, but the food was even better!! One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! Even though it was our first time there, the staff made us feel at home. Asked if we wanted to hang out for more drinks after we finished, and were upbeat and acted like they wanted to be there! Keep up the great work!
It was a good experience. The place is perfect for chilling. Apple pie shots (mmmmmm- speechless). I’ll definitely recommend this place to people who just wanna chill instead of hardcore partying.
