Tried this little gem while out working with the Bishop Paiute tribe over here in Bishop, CA. Talking to a few locals they said if I was after a great steak to try out this spot. From the wait staff(Amazing) to the desert(mouth-watering) I cant say enough good about whiskey Creek.
My food was on time and cooked to perfection. The waiter was absolutely a pleasure, beyond helpful, friendly and informative. You could tell he was a fan favorite among all current and new patrons. As a new patron I was treated just like the regular local crowd, welcomed and accepted i felt right at home here. Every single aspect of dining was nailed here. I cant wait to come back. What a great place
Really nice ambiance with a diverse menu, but maybe they should stick to one genre of food. My whole group was psyched to see they offered Thai food! And for a really affordable price. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai was not very flavorful and the Yellow Curry was very watery. In my experience, curry has a thicker, creamy consistency. This curry kinda just dripped off the chicken it surrounded. It was still tasty though! Our chicken and shrimp fried rice was really good though. Portions were large and the three aforementioned dishes were enough to share with me and two others. So while the food was tasty/mildly tasty, I’ve definitely had far superior Thai food for similar prices (we paid ~$50 for the three dishes). But hey for Bishop, it’s not bad at all—just not stellar. Service was also friendly
We ordered Crème Brûlée for dessert and it was really good. It came with three dollops of whipped cream with chocolate wafer hazelnut sticks in each one.
There’s a bar with fair prices, a modern electronic jukebox to play music for a small fee, and what looked to be a stage with a DJ table so I’m assuming they have live events. The restrooms were REALLY clean and plenty of options so there shouldn’t ever be a wait. There’s a nice waiting area in the front of the restaurant. Plenty of parking is available as well. Overall a nice experience! Just don’t expect Thai food like you’d get at a place dedicated to just Thai food.
What do you get when you add Whiskey with Creek? Salmon, burgers, salads, Thai food and a whole wagon train of other options able to please most palates.
They have something for just about everyone. All of the aforementioned, plus a whole mess of other vittles to please the whole wagon train.
The setting is like an inviting country kitchen, with down-home pictures, household decore, and even a music box, which is a smaller modern day juke box with great song variety.
The food is good, but not great. We had a few bonafide hiccups about our order. Stick to the familiar, ask questions and be specific about what you want.
Despite the occasional shortcomings of our visit, Whiskey Creek is a must-stop for lunch or dinner. Weve been here many times over the years..
The atmosphere is wholesome, the service is pretty good, and it's one of the nicest restaurants on Main. Don't expect champagne on the River Seine, when it's an inviting Whiskey Creek.
So yummy! We always get the teriyaki salmon, but this time started with a delicious Sunshine Salad. Quiet atmosphere and great staff.
Good spot in Bishop to grab dinner. Crusted Parm Chicken was great. Service was fantastic. Down side was the mash potatoes were not served hot. Pretty cold
First time patrons and had a great dinner. My Irish Mule was delectable and my Pad Thai Whiskey Creek was delicious. I ordered it at #3 spice level and really enjoyed it but be ready for some serious spice. We will be back.
In Bishop California on Hwy 395 you'll find the Whiskey Creek Restaurant. We never dined there before, it was late and they were pretty much the only ones open.
This place is pretty cool, check out the pictures!
We were promptly and warmly greeted and seated. Our waitress was super friendly and pleasant! She answered all of our questions.
I ordered steak which came with nicely seasoned gravy and mashed potatoes and freshly cut seasoned not overly cooked squash.
YUMMM!
My wife ordered shrimp thai soup. The shrimp were plentiful and fresh, not over cooked. The soup itself was pretty good, but not as good as a Thai restaurant. We would order again.
For dessert we ordered Key Lime pie. The crust was very good! The pie was excellent!
We would definitely hit the Whiskey Creek Restaurant again.
Excellent service!
Delicious food and fantastic desserts. We had filet mignon and elk steak.
