Just had an incredible dining experience at Whiskey Cake in Irving! ????????
The Tavern Burger was a standout with its juicy patty, flavorful toppings, and perfectly toasted bun. The Triple Threat old fashioned was a highlight of the evening. Its rich, smooth flavor made it the perfect complement to our meal. ????
A huge shoutout to Jacob, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our meal. He made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic dining experience. ????
Loved the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. Perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. The decor and ambiance really add to the overall experience. ????
The menu seems to be getting smaller over time. But the food is still good.
They have deviled eggs that are different all the time. These are usually pretty good.
I like the non-alcoholic drinks just wish they had a few more.
Burger was excellent the chips were nicely salty but had an odd taste probably due to the fryer oil. (See photo they appear dark)
Stopped in for a business luncheon. We were pleasantly surprised. This is a Golden Gem. We had the salmon and it was delicious. We decided to split the dessert, their whiskey cake. Oh my, I could have licked the plate. This will be on my list to visit more often! I wish I would have remembered to take a picture of our food and dessert!
A very enjoyable meal! Friendly service and not your run-of-the-mill menu. Veggie burger was nice and spicy and tasty and the fries, as well. Side salad was large and tasty. Fortunately, they weren’t busy so we were able to move from uncomfortable metal chairs into a padded booth.
I'm so excited to share my first experience at this place! Let me start by mentioning that the parking situation is not great, there just isn't enough space for all the eateries in this area. But on a positive note, they serve the most delicious SWEET TEA here! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We kicked off our meal with some Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. For my main course, I had the Hot Hen Sandwich (tossed in wing sauce) with "fresh cut fries", while my wife opted for the kale & roasted chicken salad. To end our meal, we indulged in the whiskey cake, which was tasty but a bit dry. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

Food was perfect ???????? I have had salmon, excellent, my friends had burgers and ribs and steak, all the food was great and delicious.

I ordered Door Dash take-out from this place. Farmers Market Vegetable Soup. See below pic. Door Dash cancelled on us, so we went in person to pick it up. What I got was a green creamy base with a few lumps of crunchy broccoli and about 10 giant croutons. AND, the container was only half full. When I said something to them, they said "Oh, it's supposed to have a broccoli cheddar base." I didn't discover that the large lumps were croutons until I got back to the office. I had assumed they were VEGETABLES! And there was no pasta in sight! (the little white balls).
This place is cute and they have some great healthier options. We have been twice and both times thoroughly enjoyed getting a variety of appetizers to share. The beet farro salad was fantastic, the goat cheese fondue and the hummus were also delicious. Cocktails are tasty. I like the gimlet a lot. The waitress was effective but not overbearing and the atmosphere is welcoming and clean.
