Awesome lunch! My partner and I got the spaghetti squash enchiladas and the veggie burrito. Both were delicious! The spaghetti squash in particular was phenomenal- I’ve never had enchiladas like this before, and want to try to make them when I get home! So good and good portions too, will fill you up after a long day! Can’t wait to be back!
Best Mexican food around town for sure. Everything was delicious and generous in portions. Light eaters can share a main dish no doubt. Recalled immediately after sitting in the restaurant that we’ve been here 10 years ago. This longevity already proves something. Here has only leaves good memories. A great plus for an already A+ destination of the Zion park. You can enjoy the sunset spread on the mountain just standing outside facing the restaurant.
(5/5) Shrimp tacos: Large, perfectly grilled shrimp that were juicy and delicious. Veggies and salsa tasted fresh too.
Only nitpick is the black beans. Could definitely use more seasoning.
A shout-out to the kitchen crew: It's so hard to find a restaurant that knows how to properly cook shrimp where it's not rubbery or it feels grainy from being defrosted incorrectly.
Thank you for a wonderful meal! Would absolutely return for more food ????❤️
- Service was fast and friendly! Restaurant was clean.
- Bathroom is in a small building outside the restaurant, which is unusual.
Whiptail Grill in Springdale is more than just another Mexican restaurant near Zion – it's a place where the warmth of the atmosphere matches the quality of the food. We spent an hour swapping trail stories with fellow diners, embodying the restaurant's inviting, communal spirit. The shrimp burrito was perfectly executed. Skip the desserts though – the flan was overwhelmingly sweet to the point of being inedible. Still, it's an ideal spot for a satisfying dinner and sharing adventure tales after exploring Zion's wonders.
It's clear why this is one of the top rated establishments in Springdale. The menu covers a broad swath of North American classics with some innovative twists sprinkled in, and everything we had was well-composed and delicious. Interior is clean and cozy and, while it may get busy inside, our food came out super quickly. Base price for tourists is reasonable; overall, you get what you pay for in the portion size. Recommend the brussels sprouts if you like pork belly and the chile relleno if you like goat cheese. Say hi to the cat guarding the door before you go in!
I'll start with it being a very beautiful space in this restored gas station, and that service was very nice! But, it just verified for us that most the restaurants in Springdale are overpriced AND touristy 'ok' food. The loaded burrito WAS HUGE but nothing special beyond that. I got a Strawberry tea and it was very much painfully unsweet. The chips don't seem fresh either.
Rice was dry, beans I think somehow had -0% salt.
Queso - VERY GOOD I will say.
Huge order of nachos was great. The coconut margaritas were great too if you enjoy drinks on the sweeter side. The star of the meal was definitely the chili relleno. The goat cheese changes the expected flavor profile, but it worked soo well with the sauces and sides.
Food was delicious!! Chile relleno was so good. It’s not spicy as Inwas expecting and O really enjoyed it. The host Fernando was the best and very polite on the time of waiting ( about 10 minutes). The wait was worth it.
