When the weather is nice, it’s amazing to sit outside and enjoy drinks.
Their pizzas are the main draw and there are many options. Crust is on the thinner side but not crispy. Pretty good.
We love the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The Asian sauce and sesame seeds match well with the crispiness.
I tried the eggplant Parmesan sandwich and it was good. There was too much bread to eggplant ratio so it made it dry. Kinda wish it had more sauce on it to help it out. The flavor was good and I really liked it but it made me drink more beer to help wash it down. But then again, maybe that’s the whole point LOL
It’s a great location, the servers are amazing, lots of beer and drink selections and we’ll definitely be back.
Lunch after an event. Pizzas, muscles, grilled cheese, brussel sprouts, artichoke hummas/chips, fried mozzarella. Every this was good, but I chose wrong. I should have got the pizza, but instead, I got the soup and grilled cheese. I'm not a fan of either. Soup was not sweet for butternut squash, and the grilled cheese was just not right. Stick with the pizzas!! The muscles were extremely good as well. Service was fast and friendly.
What an amazing place and truly a great place to have a bite to eat, unfortunately we didn’t eat there but everyone was having a great time. Very clean place and yes they have vegan pizza, yes they can veganize any pizza of your choice. We have the mushroom pizza and mama’s Italian meatballs (vegan) and pepper. We were blown away, pizza cooked to perfection! We enjoyed our pizza on the beach ! Looking forward to eat in on our next visit.
It’s been about a year since last here. Attractive setting and warm industrial/farmhouse decor. Stephanie took great care of us with no pressure. The two Margaritas were light and lame. The roasted Brussels sprouts had too much acidity in the ginger sauce and a tad of sugar was applied. Fish tacos were a bit hot (spicy) but enjoyed. Burger cooked to order, the cheese, hardly melted. Fried haddock roll was moist inside but very dark on the outside. The fries(trimmed potato skins) were over-salted and were left aside. My Mama Lil’s pepper and sausage pizza was good. Our group of 4 thought the prices were dear. $26.00 for a 14” pizza? And a grilled corned beef Reuben $21.00?
I so wanted to give this more stars. The service was AMAZING! The atmosphere great! But the red sauce pizzas...disappointingly bland.
We ordered two pizzas with red sauce. Maybe that's where we went wrong? Red sauce?
One cheese and the other Eggplant & Basil Ricotta.
Everyone has different tastes, definitely... I thought it was me, but four different people in our party said the same-the pizza looked wonderful but tasted very bland.
I never add salt ever, and I had to add salt and Parmesan, which I also never do. I wish I had some garlic powder too-did this when we got home, and it did help. But determined, the sauce-tastes like just crushed tomatoes.
My friends are locals and said people do say the pizza with red sauce is bland.
I will return to order other menu items, but possibly a future sauce recipe change will happen because the crust was BOMB, and it looked delicious!
From the moment we sat down we felt at home! ???? we went inside to get the details because we saw outdoor seating and needed to use the bathroom. Hostess was amazing and friendly. We went to to the outdoor bar and Irie was amazing! She was upbeat, friendly and everything you would want on your vacation. Then we meant Atticus, who also was fabulous. He experimented with drinks and was eager to please. Emma, the GM was so personable. I felt like I had been friends with her for years. All 3 of them crushed this experience and makes me want to come back!!!!! They all made food recommendations and local recommendations! I recommend this place 100x over! Well done! Thank you! Thank you! My anniversary weekend is kicking off well!
I always pick up a pizza from When Pigs Fly when visiting Maine and it never disappoints! Service is always quick and polite and I have had great pizzas. It’s very easy to order over the phone, quickly find parking, run in, run home, and enjoy the pizza. I highly recommend.
Pizza here has always been good but with the steep price changes since COVID, this will likely be our last visit. $20 for a basic 14" cheese pizza is insane. $30 for a 3 topping 14" pizza is even more insane.
The crust is good, but not THAT good.
Total 1 top 14" pizza + 3 top 14" pizza + 1 entree size salad + 1 soda = $80 BEFORE tip.
This time, service was subpar. Waitress was nice but didn't check on us after we got our salad to see how it was or if we needed anything. Ventilation from above kept dripping condensation on us - we moved tables, but same issue.
I used to buy their breads in their shop next door as well, but $8 for nearly day-old bread is crazy. I like their bread, but also wish they wouldn't preslice it, as it contributes to the bread drying out and seeming only during this visit (I shopped and left without buying any bread.)
