Best WLM Reviews
This was one of my wife’s favorite places when she lived in Omaha. We visited recently and had breakfast. The pastries looked amazing, and her Carmel roll was really good. She did mention that it used to have a lot more Carmel on it. She had the ham steak and poached eggs. I had the country fried steak. I loved that they had biscuits with it and gravy. There was a pretty decent crowd on a Saturday morning. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. We did not experience any of the negative things mentioned in other reviews about customer service.
It was an excellent place for breakfast and coffee. I never try to come here for lunch, but I love it here for breakfast. They have so many things on the menu, especially desserts. ????
Food was excellent, atmosphere and service was top notch. Store owner has fake signed political merch hanging in the front window of the store. Nice place, but will not be stopping again due to that
Huge bakery up front with cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, etc. To go counter with meals to. Had breakfast and ordered the chubby checker scrambler and my friend had avocado toast. We enjoyed it. Order came out wrong the first time but was corrected.
UPDATE 9/7/24: Had to take some stars OFF, because the last time we went there on a Saturday, we were informed that they don't do split checks on weekends. I was gonna pay for my own food, mum would pay for hers. You know, like every other restaurant? It was disappointing, and we just left, because neither one of us could afford to pay for two meals. They lost a customer that day, they must not want our money then. I don't get that rule. Wrong-headed and backwards. But the food is still good...
One of the best restaurants in Omaha! The breakfast is delicious, mimosas where also great!
The wedding cake cup cakes were very dry and disappointing. When I called the bakery I was met by an unconcerned response from the manager telling me that they have never had a complaint before. This was a birthday gift to a fellow employee. You have lost my business Along with my fellow employees and families. The price being $18 for 6 was worth it from previous experiences, but no more.
Best French toast in town. Very attentive and courteous staff. Delicious coffee
Restaurant was not busy, no waiting line, and several open tables.
First, our sever was GREAT (5 stars for her), she was responsive and respectful. However, our hostess was extremely rude. She sat us at a table where the sun was shining right at my face and on our table (there was no way to adjust in our seats to avoid it). I asked the hostess, “Will you please move us to a different table? The sun is too bright.” She tried to move the shade down but it was already down and not effective. She rudely responded with something incomprehensible with her back turned to me. I asked again, “Will you please move us?” She rolled her eyes, nodded ‘yes’ and just stood there in place. I asked, “Which table should we go to?” She rudely waved her hand around and said, “Wherever you want!” So we got up and sat ourselves at another table.
The details: My 7 year old son and I went for a special Mama Son breakfast on a day he was out of school. He is very well behaved at restaurants and we do not ask for food substitutions…we are really low maintenance. I just didn’t want the sun shining in my face while enjoying a special breakfast with my son. Asking for a comfortable table shouldn’t be such an inconvenience since I was paying $32 and change for 2 meals consisting of 4 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of toast, a pancake, 6 strips of bacon, coffee and orange juice.
