When you wait in the drive thru for 25+ minutes, you would expect quality food for the price. We got home only to discover our fry boxes were less than half full of fries and the food was barely warm. My gravy was more like white water and my chicken strips were as hard as rocks. I have lived in Texas all my life and generally love Whataburger, but the one in Elgin TX is less than desirable.
Be prepared to wait. It took me 15 minutes from order to pickup. The food was decent, most of the fries were hot, etc. Restaurant is newer. They lost it on how slow they were for fast food.. I could only see two workers inside so perhaps they were way understaffed? No one at drive thru window when I pulled up. After a couple of minutes a lady appeared to take my money and hand me the food.. Will stop elsewhere next time in the area.
The staff is always polite and the restaurant is always clean. However just about every time that I go to this location and I request the avocado bacon burger with NO cheese it always comes back out WITH cheese. There’s even been a few occasions where I’ve sent it back multiple times in one visit because they just don’t seem to understand that I don’t want cheese, I don’t understand how much clearer “No cheese on my burger please” I can get.
By 8:00-8:30 the store should be up and running pretty well. You know ready to serve; NOT!
There's only 1 car in front of us, we waited about 20 minutes.
We waited another 20 minutes for our order: OJ,1 coffee and 2 orders of biscuits and gravy.
The cup of gravy only 1/2 way filled and salty to taste.
Would of been okay if we at least got a smile. Didn't get that either.????
Food is always good as far as freshness and quality go! But the customer service is not that great we have been several times and sometimes you get someone rude or sometimes your messing food items from what you ordered. But other than that good food !
This has got to be the slowest “fast” food place I’ve ever tried to eat at. I LOVE whataburger, but this location makes snails look like Formula 1. Don’t bother ordering ahead, don’t bother doing curbside, don’t bother using them go to McDonald’s instead.
Stopped by today, and I ended up missing some jalapeño ranch on my order and called back to see if something could be done about it. A Manager answered and he was really nice, he ended up replacing my whole order. Couldn't catch his name but dude legit made my whole day, food was great. Thanks!
Service has gotten lightyears better since when they first opened. They used to have terrible wait times and order accuracy but now its good in terms of fast food joints!
