I’m from the west coast and had heard about the Whataburger vs In & Out arguments, so when I finally had it for the first time, my expectations were high. When asked what I thought, my response was, “More like whatadisappointment!” That was a year ago, somewhere near Dallas. We were back visiting family again and hit a different location. My girlfriend is a huge fan of both franchises, so I gave them a second chance. While I wasn’t a fan of the burger I purchased on my first visit(truth is, it wasn’t bad, but I was expecting to get blown away and have it absolutely smash In & Out and it didn’t) this time I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich(In & Out doesn’t make a chicken sandwich period, so I can’t compare the two establishments.) I’ve had many spicy chicken sandwiches and this matched most of them in terms of flavor and quality. I wouldn’t say it knocked my socks off, but it did surprise me since I was expecting disappointment again.
My reaction now?
“Whatacomeback!”
Really good place. The fajita taco was awesome. My burger was very good. The fries were great and the spicy ketchup was a treat. Wish they had this place up north.
Whitesboro location is the BEST Whataburger around!!!
Associates are always welcoming and friendly!

Stopped here on way to football game. Food was excellent. Staff were great! Manager came out and visited with us. S’all good!!
Food was awesome! My only complaint was that the fries are a horrible cut and when they are cooked they become so hard you can't eat them. Yes I know it's their distributor and not the restaurant.
They have gotten our last few orders wrong. I ask for one thing, they punch in a different thing in their system. So he receipt looks correct, but that's what I asked for. And it's not like one item, it's usually 2 or more. Today, asked for 2 drinks, got charged for 3. Then I ordered a double, and she punched in a triple. It's happened almost every time we eat there. So we're done with this location. We'll just stick to Sonic for a quick bite.
I LOVE LOVE WHATABURGER; the drivethru service needs A LOT of help in Whitesboro!! Third time is a charm; last time my husband and I drove off after paying because no one seemed to know our order… today just trying to get a drink and into it already for 10 minutes and cars stacking up and at a standstill…it is 2:50 in the afternoon!!!….please help them correct this problem!!!!
They made all four burgers correctly! The fries were hot and fresh. Good job!
