On 4/11/2024, we ordered and paid for 3
grilled cheese, 2 grilled cheese add lettuce, pickle, tomato and onion. Additionally, we ordered 4 large fries. We asked for BBQ sauce, however, we were told it would cost .40 per container so we declined.
What we received: 3 grilled cheese add lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. 2 grilled cheese. 2 large fries and a BBQ sauce at .40. (You shorted us two large fries, charged us for a BBQ sauce we did not want, and added toppings to a grilled cheese that was supposed to be plain)
We got all the way to our house before we realized the issue. We contact the store at and we were advised we needed to come into the store for a refund as they would not do it over the phone.
We drove back to the store, and spoke with your “manager” on shift. The reason I cannot provide you with her name, is due to the fact that she refused to provide it when asked. Having said that, we asked for a refund for the missing items and she said she could not do that. She said we needed to bring back the ENTIRE order to get the refund. I said to her “how can I bring back the entire order since you shorted me two items”? She said “well I can’t do a refund without getting the entire order back”. I told her that was impossible since she didn’t give me 2 of the 4 fries. I asked for her name so I could escalate the issue, she refused, and closed the window on us.
At the end of the day, you stole from us and refused to refund us for items not given to us. You have an incompetent manager that not only refused our refund, but this is the same manager that handed us our food in the first place - clearly, she did not check the bag to ensure our entire order was there. Not to mention, the two fries we were given, were not cooked all the way.
I have attached a copy to show three grilled cheeses with toppings - again we only ordered 2 of the 5 with toppings. I apologize, I can’t show a photo of the two fries I didn’t received, nor can I return fries I didn’t receive - as your incompetent manager requested.
Good burger and fries at a reasonable price. Shakes are more like ice cream stuffed into a cup (I have to wait for it to melt a bit to drink it).
The place is nice and not crowded most of the time.

In and out is way better , however 24hrs is hard to beat. Fries taste like McDonald's, burgers a itty bitty underwhelming but service at this location is excellent
First Shirley was so helpful. She chatted with me about the Whataburger App. I misunderstood the FB ad I saw and thought just for downloading the app I would get a free Whataburger. I didn't screenshot it and so I realized after 5 separate visits then I earn a free Whataburger. So I ordered a Whataburger and now have 4 more visits until I earn a free food reward. It's a record setting 115 today. I am feeling it. Usually this specific Whataburger has me freezing cold after 3 minutes or so. I rode my electric scooter about 5 minutes away from here after going to the Plasma center (in honor of my mom, rare hemophiliac). I have been here for about 20 minutes and still feel hot. That heat tho. ????
The restaurant it's self is very clean quiet very nice Country music playing. The restrooms were very clean. The restaurant is nicely decorated as you can see. Go ASU! My maternal grandmother's school. I highly recommend this specific Whataburger. My mom's best friend Dallas Howard LOVED Whataburger. He took me to the 7th Street location once. But I was a dumb kid and rated McD's better. Hey what did I know I was just a dumb kid. Anyways back to Whataburger. I love it now and highly recommend it. The only way I can see to suggest an improvement is to sell BISON BURGERS. They are 100000% better healthier and tastier that bovine (cow)
At 2am they cleaned the grill, so only fryer food. I went daytime and ordered the item on a huge poster, but they didn’t have it. Please close out of shame. No one in this neighborhood wants to see it reopened as the worst Whataburger. Anything else.
“Can I get uhhh….patty melt with jalapeños and bacon, large fries, and a medium sweet tea lite ice, with some spicy ketchup?”
This place never disappoints and food always comes out great. Sadly though, I just tried stopping by and it was boarded up with the entrances blocked off. Hopefully it’s not a permanent closure and they’ll come back better with a remodel soon because I’ll miss this Texas staple in Tempe.
I am one of Whataburger's biggest fans! The whole menu is great, but sometimes I'm a simple man, I want to have a justaburger. Bread, beef, pickles, onions, and mustard is a simple recipe that results in great mouthfeel. This restaurant location is modern, clean, along with a great staff. Infinitely recommended!
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Whataburger. Firstly, I was stuck in their drive-thru line for over 20 minutes, which is absolutely unacceptable. What made matters worse was the Night Shift manager, Sergio. It's clear that he doesn't care about earning customer satisfaction. He continuously blamed everything on the system that Whataburger has in place, instead of taking responsibility as a manager to ensure each customer leaves happy. Ultimately, my patience ran out, and I decided to abandon my order and go elsewhere. Waiting on the system to update just to pay for my food was the last straw. I won't be returning to Whataburger anytime soon.
