I recently tried the Beef Jalapeño Deluxe at Whataburger, and while it was decent, my husband ordered the Spicy Chicken Burger, which was definitely the winner. I wish I had gotten that instead! Honestly, any of their chicken dishes seem to be a solid choice. The food overall is great for the price, and I’d highly recommend going for the chicken options if you visit.
We went during a rush (07/13/2024 @ 11:15 pm). We waited forever. Which was okay, I’m patient and the line was wrapped around. When we finally made it to the window, a man told us to pull forward and they’d bring our food out. Again, nothing really out of the ordinary. But then they finally came with our food. The lady forgot our drinks, which again wasn’t an huge deal. Except after she came back with them and we thanked her, she didn’t acknowledge us. Not a word or look. Then she very visibly & audibly slammed the door shut. When we saw our food it was clear they were very angry in that kitchen and taking it out on the consumer. I get the frustration and stress of the fast food industry, I have the patience to sit in the line and thank who is serving me no matter the time I wait. But they threw the food to pieces. The paper pockets with our hash browns were upside down and the hash browns had totally fallen apart, as if thrown in the bag. It was very disrespectful, despite the respect I was affording the establishment.
This Location is always very clean. I don’t eat fast food, but since I had to come here for a meeting, ordered #20, tasted the non-greasy food & fresh brewed tea, I will continue returning at least weekly????Bathroom is always very clean. The employees are the BEST & all employees are super nice & respectful especially Ms Nicole. After the customer orders & the food is made, the employee will take the food to the table & say thank you. The employees do NOT waste packets of ketchup or salsa either. They ask what the customer would like, give that many & these employees have no issue returning to your table with more when asked. The service here is Top Notch - better than many sit-down restaurants! Thank you to ALL the employees at this location for your jovial attitudes. I know standing on your feet for hours, the work itself & dealing with some customers is Not easy; but, y’all do a terrific job & I thank you all????
This is my favorite place to buy a burger, when I'm in Lafayette! Perfect amount of veggies in the burger! I wish they had a Whataburger, like this location, in New Iberia.
I went there the past two Saturdays and realized something was quirky with their prices posted versus what the cash register rings up.
I ordered a #1 Whataburger which is clearly posted on the menu board for $8.89 and also on their online app.
The attendant rang me up and it was substantially higher.
I said I wanted the meal at the #1 price that's posted and was told the menu board is wrong and I have to pay the new price which is close to $11.00 with tax.
It seems like management could take a few minutes to update the menu board in the store, the drive through window, and the app. I guess most people pay electronically and never notice how often they are being overcharged at restaurants.
I decided to go somewhere else where you can purchase food at the posted prices.
Tip: if you go to Burger King or McDonalds they will automatically upcharge you for a larger drink and fries unless you specifically tell them not to.
Whatawaste of money and time!
When I ordered I asked for salt packs. At order I also asked if I could mix shake flavors they told me no. I ordered a small and med strawberry shake and a small and med fry. The time in line was 12 minutes in total. When I pulled around the girl said you have two vanilla strawberry shakes? So we're like we thought you couldn't mix flavors she's like, you can't ????. Anyway, so we get the shakes and can see it's a vanilla ice cream with strawberry syrup situation. I wish they could charge extra for a pump of chocolate syrup. Then I had to ask for salt again as I was pulling away from the window for my fries (just in case there wasn't any on them).
Well, there was so much salt on the fries we couldn't even eat them after we tried to knock some of the salt off of them. On top of that after a 12-minute wait the small fry was cold and the medium fry was warm. The shakes were made as soon as we pulled around so why did we wait for cold over salted fries?
Very much disappointed and dissatisfied!
I never thought I would do this but yes I’m going with 3 stars. This is solely based off of breakfast. I am a huge Whataburger fan and have never had a complaint but I’m not very impressed with the breakfast. I ordered the Breakfast Platter and a Taquito. The eggs in the platter were extremely bland and the bacon was a balled up mess. The biscuit was ok but I wouldn’t order this again. The Taquito was basically the same way. The only flavor was the cheese and the taquito was more of a balled up tortilla that was cut in multiple places only being held together by cheese. I love Whataburger but I doubt I’ll go back for breakfast.
Incredible food but one of the employees had an attitude taking my large order. I wish them the best.
