Just reminiscing about my youth spending late nights in whataburger, we came here and there was a group of old retired old men just chatting about politics and life . I hope I can live my life like them when age comes knocking at my door, this is the establishment where I would like to do it at, with great food as always. The staff seem very pleasant and friendly considering these were old men in Trump shirts, nothing breathes Texas than a bunch of trucks parked outside of Whataburger , while I’m enjoying that good ol’ patty melt on Texas toast and sipping on that sweet tea. All with Country folk talking about the GOAT Trump, with no blue haired people around.
The breakfast tacos were amazing and the chicken strips with that sweet honey butter hit the spot. Although the sauce resembles my own sauce, I almost creamed my pants while tasting such goodness from Whataburger. That W sign is more iconic than the Batman sign when Gotham is in need of a savior. I asked for a barbecue chicken strip sandwich SUB RANCH. I’m used to Whataburgers getting my order wrong which is what it is BUT I specifically asked the guy (manager) at the window if there was ranch on the sandwich because I had seen there was just a ranch cup in the bag. He confirmed that there was because that’s how I ordered it. I come home, no ranch on the sandwich and then the ranch in the cup is BROWN! Nasty and gross. Tried to call and the manager did nothing. Awful service and nasty food.
I ordered a mobile order for a Jr. bacon cheese burger with no bun. I can’t have the bun do to gluten, and am disappointed how i got my food. They first only gave me the burger without cheese and bacon on it, so I had to go back and ask for it to be remade. They took my food back and gave me the SAME burger as the original just COLD cheese on it(as you can see in the photo completely unmelted) and bacon threw in.
Cars behind us left before us even with a small order. No real customer service but the food was as expected. Employees who are customer facing should probably not be so public if they aren't happy with their jobs so outwardly
Forgot items 2x in the last two weeks.. A whole burger last time. Should have checked but one of those long line nights. Today we checked but who would have thought they’d leave out the mandatory sauce that comes with the chicken strip meal. Also paid for 2 creamy pepper sauce which didn’t make it into the bag either.
EDIT: sue me I go to Whataburger a lot. Updating this review just a couple days apart. 1 AM and we’ve gone back for breakfast while hosting friends. Only ordered from the breakfast menu this time and kept it simple. Two breakfast meals and an extra hash brown. We pull forward to the line past the window because of the high volume of traffic, again. We get 0, NO hashbrowns at all. Not even with our full orders that they come with. Absolutely convinced this is on purpose - they’ve done it 3 out of 3 times now. Management has an issue. Knock loudly on the door - they will give you what you paid for. Dumb.
So I have been here several times, typically late at night. Last night felt like the staff was struggling. Food was good, they got our order right. It just took waiting for 14 minutes to get it. The lady running the food was very clearly unhappy.
I ordered through Uber Eats everything came in fine except my fries they came in cold and barely any were put in the bag it was supposed to be a large
I ordered from the wrong what a burger on the app. Said my food was delivered but it was not. They saw that I came to them and told me it was another whataburger. I was prepared to go there but the manager said he would go ahead and give me the food since I had proof of payment. He did not have to do that. Now all I have to do is have corporate refund the delivery fees and tip I paid the driver. Again he did not deliver me my food. This what a burger is where I stop nearly every day for breakfast and they are always professional, nice and helpful. Another thank you to the manager and cashiers who helped me. Ya'll are awesome!
