I would argue that this Whataburger in Alabaster, Alabama is absolutely NOT the best but not the worst, it's redeemable in some areas but you best believe you are lucky when it comes to waiting times, food quality and whether you get the RIGHT food or not. Speaking of which..
Food: This category is important but whataburger is whatever when it comes to taste and flavor, got a bacon steakhouse double and it was about $9.99. Looked like a burger king item but taste wise is alright, next up were wings which have been around for a while but these were $11.99 for a 9 piece, I would say they are worst then other major food chains such as Zaxby's been better, flavorful and cheaper and how dry the Whatawings were, total came out to $24.18 for a meal, a drink, and some fries or to put it this way, wings, a burger, fries and a drink. Also, the ranch and ketchup were the only good things keeping up for the food.
Service: Slow, multiple people in line, drive-thru, sitting in the lobby waiting for like 15-20 minutes after placing an order, they must be doing drive-thru orders as a priority but that's alright.
Miscellaneous: Be aware, their A/C doesn't work so it is pretty hot inside, they have outdoor seating, they are 24 hours so yeah, hope yall get lucky with yall orders ????
First time at Whataburger; and may be my last…,wasn’t impressed as restaurant was not clean, all trash cans were full, many dirty tables. Restrooms were not clean. They were out of French fries so had their hash browns which were good. Hamburgers were big, but overall flavor was just ok.
Unfortunately if there is one car in the drive through its going to take at least 15 minutes to get your food... no matter the time of day or night. After 17 minutes of waiting at the window for my food, I just left.
It took 27 minutes from ordering my 2 sausage egg and cheese biscuits with only one order case in the line ahead of me. I could have literally baked biscuits, cooked fried an egg and made a sausage consecutively and still had my food sooner. When I asked how long it would be after 10 mins I was told 2 minutes while being gawked at for asking. It wouldn’t have been so bad if there were actually more people ahead of me but it’s a slap in the face when I’m watching all 3 workers nonchalantly wander around like there’s nothing to do. Some form of management or corporate needs to take charge of this place.
I visited the Alabaster Whataburger on 9/14/24 to pick up an online order. I’m standing at the left end of the counter and a young male with long dreads walks up to the cash register and makes a noise. Henry may have said something but it was so far under his breathe, it just made a noise. I state what I needed and he walks off. A young lady brings the bag of food and states “they” would get the drinks. I’m not sure who “they” were and apparently neither did “they”. I stood there a few minutes then moved to the right side of the counter to see the drinks on the counter and the monitors that showed no cars in the drive thru and me and another customer standing in the lobby. Not an employee in sight. The young male from before walks by with a cup to his head enjoying a beverage. I get his attention and ask if I can get the drinks. He turns at someone else, not visible, and gestures at the drinks. ???? ask for straws and it takes even more of an effort to get them. It was absolutely exhausting picking up this DoorDash order. The young male was more interested in his own concerns than the needs of customers; he hiked the other customer in the lobby patiently waited to be serve. Please do better for current and future customers.
I had an iced coffee for the first time. It was very refreshing and much flavor. I Will be back again ! It was the best coffee I ever had! Go whataburger ????????
worst fast food experience I've ever had. Usually have no problems, but I'm upset this time. A McLane truck was unloading blocking the drive thru for like over an hour and I ordered on the app prior and it was 1am. They even went in to get food before leaving, still in the way!! When they finally left and we got our food, we were missing a burger and a fry and the fries were cold. Currently on the way back there to get new fries and the missing burger. 3 hours of my life I can't get back, thanks
Came in frazzled and overwhelmed just trying to grab some food for my kiddos after a hectic day. Khai was so sweet and helpful even though I felt like we were being difficult and I was a space case. I really appreciated her being so understanding and kind in a world that’s just ready to shove you out the door. Highly recommend this location. Thank you Khai!!!
