I ordered a #10 whatameal. The breading on the chicken sandwich was so hard and disgusting, like old grease or something. The fries were great, though.
They're okay. I understand that they're a Texas Treasure, but it's a bit overhyped. They have decent fries, burgers are okay. My big issue is that the drive through is a disaster and for fast food, it takes a long time to get your orders.
Don't expect to get your order quickly. I've been here mutiple times since it's close to work and it usually takes about 25 minutes to get my order. If it's not too busy, about 15-20. I came here for a coffee at 7:15am and got it at 7:40am. They said they had to brew it, it's 7am how you not gonna have some coffee ready?
We had ordered a large meal, and my sister had said large multiple times but they somehow got it wrong and gave us medium everything. And we asked if there was a way to change it, they said there wasn't and that they'd comp a gravy we had asked for but they hadn't giving us or charged us for. And she said she'd just charged us for the large fries and comp the gravy, but she literally charged us for both the fries and gravy.
I came to pick up a take out order and a young man wearing the Whataburger uniform was getting his order taken by an older man, Cedric, like he was about to go on his lunch break. He was giving his order and had to repeat his order several times as Cedric attempted to navigate the POS, then Cedric said “You need to have patience, thats the problem with young people these days, they don’t have patience” which I took as a somewhat backhanded but friendly jab until he began raising his voice at a fellow employee about how “you won’t get far in life with that attitude” and so on. It seemed unnecessary, non constructive, confrontational. He started bullying the young man while he was about to go on his break, in fact, the young man still had to go around the counter and punch the order in himself. The response from the rest of the staff was equally appalling, their reaction was ambivalence, like Cedric does this regularly. I found the experience quite unprofessional.
I honestly don’t think they have ever given me a fully correct order in a year of regularly going here. I tried to order the new bacon blaze jalepno double, the big fancy promotional item in the middle of the menu, and was given a double whataburger with lettuce and tomatoes, and additional jalepenos and bacon added on extra. Its worth it to drive a couple extra miles to the one farther down texas ave.

Came into this place and ordered a spicy chicken and also a double meat Whataburger burger meal, food wasn’t fresh, I didn’t think to check it out til I arrived home because I was in a hurry to get home to my comfortable bed after getting off work, Returned to get my ordered remade after speaking with Juan Hernandez and he gave me a hard time and spoke to in a unprofessional manner stating that I should have called that following night…Cool but then he goes to say yeah you should have called and I shouldn’t even be replacing your food.Never will I ever eat here again.Food wasn’t fresh at all
