As someone who works over the road, I don’t have many options. Therefore, I came here two days in a row in which both days they gave my order half an hour late. I didn’t order anything complicated or even a lot. Yet on both of the days that I came, they served the people who ordered after me before me. Food was good but the employees need to step it up and take the orders out as soon as they’re ready. I had to ask for an update for our order and as soon as we asked for our food, they brought it out. It should not have to be like.
After an A&M game nothing is better than a Whataburger! Two wins for the day! Food was great, staff was friendly and the place was clean! Jr Cheese Burger with Bacon and Pepper-jack cheese, small friends and a Large sweet tea
I was the only person in line in the drive thru and no one was in side so it’s not like they were busy.. but took 30 minutes and all my chicken tenders and fries all just came out burnt like just refried old food. The staff seemed like they were on drugs. Just terrible and sad.
I waited in line 56 min for a breakfast on a bun, medium fry , and medium drink … the person beside me cut in front of me, but instead of moving the car up initially they just let him sit at the window. I call the location to let them know this is the case the manager answered and says “yes, I’ll get right out there and tell them”.. you have a drive thru full of people with hour wait times and you are not already helping ?? ….they do finally move the guy in front of me up but gave out my sandwich to him I watch as they hand it back and I’m positive they then hand it to me -I can not eat it after all that - I feel bad for the guy at the window as I could see he was doing all he’d been trained to do - the management failed tonight both their crew and me as a customer, 2 managers were standing there when the window boy handed me my food and I told him about my wait both overheard it all and did not apologize but he apologized several times. I think you need new management.An hour for a sandwich? . This is not the first time I’ve had a really terrible experience with the late night crew at this particular Whataburger, it was just the worst
After an “ordeal” at the drive thru with an extremely rude and unprofessional employee. I called talked to Katrina who was super nice and offered that the next time I came in my food was paid for which she didn’t have to do I was just trying to make her aware of the person running the driver thru that day and I wasn’t expecting but it was nice of her to offer, she wrote my number and name down and said she would inform the other supervisors that I may come in. Well I normally don’t go to Caldwell but I happened to be there today for a sporting event. I came in and asked for Katrina who wasn’t there (understandably), I told the lady the situation and proceeded to reorder my original order that I made 2 days prior. The lady working (orange and white striped shirt) took 1 meal off(I ordered for me and my kids) ummm ok that’s not what I was told I ended up paying $32 and some change which that’s cool. Had they followed through with what they said I would’ve just left it alone and kept my review to myself but apparently they just lack customer service which is fine…. because of my horrible experience I have no problem never going back to this establishment. Again Katrina was super nice and this is not her fault but there was obviously some lack of communication on what transpired 2 days early which was awful. 1 person isn’t going to make a difference to them but the more people go and experience this establishment will eventually stop going too. My opinion
Man this is the second time one of their employees here has gone above and beyond to fix problems and make the custom feel cared for.
I wish the guy last night had a name tag. African American gentlemen, with a two-tone hairstyle. Whatever his name is, he was polite and worked his butt off during a long line at the window. This guy deserves a pay bump. Thanks Whataburger.
My husband and I stopped for late lunch on a Sunday afternoon at the newly opened Whataburger in Caldwell, Texas. We had to stand in line for a few minutes before ordering. Seemed the staff was still working the kinks out.
We received our order in a timely fashion and enjoyed our burgers.
Whataburger is a block or so off Hwy 21 and Hwy 36 and can be accessed from both directions.
UPDATE - July 17, 2023
We stopped in for another burger on a Saturday evening around 7:00 pm. They have definitely worked the kinks out. They took our order and we received our order in no time. As usual the burgers were great.
Though busy, food was fast and good
