It maybe a Texas Institution but the jalapeno cheese burger was bland, tasted the bun, ketchup and jalapeno that's about it. When stationed in Corpus Christi in the early eighties 81-84 it was awesome I would purposely drive off base to get their breakfast burrito for breakfast and burgers and fries for lunch at least once a week on my limited budget. Hoping it was a local issue in Roswell, Lubbock, Big Springs and now Midland they all tasted the same and I've had better at competitors fast food and no not McDonald's.
Whataburger never disappoints that food is always good. The only issue I had was the long wait on our food, and customer service was terrible. Food took 45 minutes. The food was cold and there was only 1 car in front of me. Nobody was dining inside. Customer service was terrible. Management needs to hire employees who like their job.
I went to Whataburger and placed my order for two sandwiches at 12:09 am. It is currently 12:41 am and we are still all stuck in this line. I called them and they're saying they had a big order and they did not ask the car at the window to pull around. The way the drive-thru is situated, there's no way to leave the line once you're in it. I feel like I've been taken hostage. This is insane
I just got to the window at 12:43 am. I told them to keep their food. I was in line for 34 minutes. I'll NEVER return The manager looked at me, smiled, then flashed what looked like a gang sign at me with his hands. It may or may not have been, but I was a police officer many years ago and it reminded me of the hand signs different gang members would flash to each other back then. I told them I'd never come back to this store and the manager laughed at me. He literally laughed. DISGUSTING behavior. This place would be out of business in any other town that had more late night options.
I recorded a video of my interaction at the window and took this screenshot of the manager smiling and flashing me what I presume to be a gang sign with his hands. This business ought to be ashamed of itself. This entire chain should be embarrassed.
Addendum: I reported this incident to corporate headquarters. Less than an hour after I made the report, the owner of this location called me and apologized. She said that the employee in the photo was not the manager and that he would be dealt with. She also said she'd mail me a gift card for my trouble... She never sent it. I'm done with Whataburger. I haven't been to any of their locations since this happened and I never will. So the owner knows where she can stick that gift card.
The service sucks and they take forever to get food out. The employees just Stand around also the manager didn’t even come to the drive-thru window to check on us.
A total shitshow!!!!!! Ordered food online and it said it would be ready at 1115, didn’t get my full order til almost midnight, waited 30 minutes for my food but no drinks, I had to go inside where I was ignored and I noticed the manager was just clearing the orders from their screens without paying any attention, causing chaos! Workers need to get it together and managers need to run their shifts properly without causing issues with orders and wait times, not to mention multiple other people had forgotten items and they had to ask them for said items! Terrible experience!
Whataburger breakfast is wonderful 10/10 but the amount of time you have to wait for the food at night time is flat out ridiculous. Sometimes I’m the only car and I have to wait 30 mins plus for my food everytime I have tired in side and out side but they are just extremely understaff. Also the guy that are here are having conversations chilling in the back it’s just very little sense of urgency in this building, It makes me flat out hate coming and hate my experience.
Good food on the go. Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich is by far my favorite but it's not available all year round. Service is fair, can be slow during busy hours.
Constance provides the best customer service ever, she deserves employee of the year! We love coming to this location knowing she will always make our order to perfection!
