I had been to the independence and Lee’s Summit location when they first opened. Granted maybe they were still figuring it out with new staff but, I had one of the worst burgers I’ve had at LS and independence was so slow I about left. However the Raymore location restored my hope in Whataburger. Burger was hot and tasted great and wait wasn’t too long. Staff was friendly and I’m happy to say it was worth giving another chance.
Whataburger has fantastic burgers and fries but this time, I selected a chicken cobb salad. I was shocked by the size and freshness of it. There was no slimy or wittled lettuce!
The staff did excellent. It took forever to get through the line to our food. They were clearly short staffed, and it looked like the employees were very young. We were nervous that we just wasted money, but the meal was perfect. I'm Texan born and raised, and so far have not been impressed with the local locations. My meal may have taken 5 minutes longer than usual, but I would have waiting longer to get what I received today. The staff had to have had a hard night, and I'm really grateful that they handled the busy evening as if they were running with a full team. I honestly can't find anything to complain about, except this team needs more amazing members to make the experience flawless. To them it was another shift, but they provided me with a meal I haven't tasted in a decade. Clearly the best local Whataburger.
This was a wonderful treat after Royals game on the way back to our AirBnB for a late dinner. A Texas treat from home. The Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger was made perfectly. It was clean and the staff were friendly! Thank you!!!
My burger was fresh and delicious and most importantly, the fries were hot and crispy. Not very many places to get lunch/dinner food after I get off work at 7 am. This location is always consistently good
If you’re from Texas or visit Texas, Whataburger is well known, it’s one of the food staples for Texans. I was introduced by my husband when first visit his home state. Burgers are crazy big, must try the spicy ketchup. If they bring back the Dr. Pepper milkshake, gotta order it’s so good!
I tried the patty melt for the first time, it’s good but I felt it’s missing something like add bacon.
My thoughts, taste much better in Texas, but it’s a treat when on road trips. If never had Whataburger, try it, treat yourself, don’t be afraid to explore new places.
Whoever that lady manager is, she needs some serious training and a better attitude. The guy at the drive thru didn't redeem my points correctly for a large fry and I noticed that I had paid for it. I go in to get my refund and the manager basically said "Oh well there isn't anything I can do about that". I then told her this should have been free because they scanned my rewards app and she says, "I'm sorry. What do you want me to do? Write the employee up". She then proceeds to throw him under the bus and THEN goes to the back and starts yelling at the employee who messed up my order. WTH?? My only solution was to contact corporate for a refund and I DID! What a terrible manager!!!
They ran out of large buns this evening, and didn't bother to let us know. Just put our burger on bread. When I called, the manager offered no discount in the future as an apology for not sharing the situation. I would have appreciated the heads up so I could have changed my order.
