I usually rate restaurant location, service, cleanliness. But this store deserves No stars.
They manipulate the system, they mark the order as done while it’s NOT, just to meet the company standards and policy.
They were not busy and my order took over 25 minutes. I talked to the manager but he was unprofessional and rude. He told me that I can cancel the order and go to another restaurant if I am that hungry!
I wanna start by saying I love whataburger but today was a bad experience. She rang me up For the whole meal instead of just the sandwich like I said at least twice . She did offer a refund but the damage was done so I went ahead and took the meal. It was done extremely fast as if it was already prepared and just waiting for me. The bun was dry and crumbly the burger patties were dry and burned on the lettuce and tomato we're soggy as if they had been sitting there on a hot burger buddy for a long time the cheese wasn't even melted the whole burger was dry and tasteless. The French fries were dry and hard as if they had been sitting around for a long time. You need to do better
I had a wonderful experience at this location recently! We were due to celebrate my son’s 8th birthday party nearby at the movie theatre but last minute we found out Showbiz theatre charged a $50 fee if we brought in birthday cake. Dejected, we decided to go to Whataburger for lunch and cake before the actual party to avoid the absurd theater fees. I wasn’t sure if they would turn us away since we were a large group with cake and gifts. Upon walking inside, I was met with an elderly black gentleman whose smile and greeting absolutely lit up the restaurant. I asked him if it was okay that we bring in the cake and celebrate while eating our burgers, still thinking they might turn us away. I didn’t catch his name but he amazingly said, “ABSOLUTELY! Y’all come on in!” All of the staff seemed happy we were there, got our orders right and made sure we were accommodated with everything we needed. I was very impressed and so thankful they allowed us to come last minute and have a great time! I made sure to tip the sweet man and hope to see him there again in the future. Thanks Whataburger for a great day and great meal!
Oh my goodness! This is the slowest, most organized restaurant I have ever been to in Baytown. I ordered my food online and waited until it was supposed to be ready before going in. Once inside, I waited another 30 minutes while crew members roamed aimlessly about the place, and people were held hostage awaiting their orders. I had a young man come to me and ask for my order 3 duodenal times only to say that it was coming shortly every time. These were false statements every time. I finally broke and asked for a refund. The kind lady who helped me was so embarrassed by how the staff was running as she wasn't even supposed to be there. Thank goodness she was, though. She gave me my refund & fulfilled my order. I hope this was fluke and this isn't how they always operate. But i won't be going back.
Normally we stop in Baytown to eat Breakfast enroute to Louisianna. Because of construction at our turnoff, we drove to another exit where there were restaurants. Whataburger on Hwy 146 was in the cluster of places where one could eat. It is located in an attractive modern building. Interior was beautifully designed with a nice layout to order, pickup and dine. The place was clean. The one person at counter was efficient & seemed to be doing work of three. Since we were not familiar with their menu & didn't know what we wanted, she directed me to look at the menu board while she took care of other business. I ordered two coffees and Items #20 # #24.from menu board. Service was quick. Since we were there in the mid morning expected condiments and soap in men's bathroom to be stocked. Low on jellies and two dispensers were out of soap.
Service was a little slow but the food was really good. One of the better burgers I have had. Very juicy and the Onion rings were crispy and fresh.
So I was picking up a online order at 545 am Sunday morning and there was only two employees working and the manager no where to be seen although there was a table in the lobby that they had clearly been hanging out at as there were things there that related, but they were only handing out orders in drive through while the six of us standing in the lobby just stood and waited and each of us would ask for updates but it took 15 minutes to pick up a order that was scheduled to be picked up already what's the point in online orders if there ignored because they are never prepared until you arrive which defeats the point but the store was dirty no napkins, floor a mess etc should try to schedule more employees or encourage management to assist... Update still no help early mornings! You know it's very busy early morning tell my why you aren't staffing for it??? This isn't just these 2 mornings I come early morning at least 5 day's a week and every single dam day their under staffed come on Whataburger get it together
This is the SLOWEST Whataburger I’ve ever been to BUT I will say that the male hostess is absolutely a pleasure. The food is good but only go if you can wait 15-30 minutes.
