I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while since I’m always in the area. I walked in and ordered today and was told it’d take 15 minutes but it actually took closer to 25. I was willing to look past that and just order online in the future. However, I was quite disappointed with the food. The fries were a bit stale, cold, and with not much flavor. I don’t like my food salty but my boys did say they had no taste. I spent $27 on an 8-piece mixed and large fries so I feel like it was a waste of money.
Didn't get to take a picture because I was trying to eat it while it was still piping hot. I ordered the 3 whole wings and gizzard combo fries and okra. I enjoyed the flavor or everything and the service was great everyone there was very attentive even after I finished my food. The only thing I'd change for my next visit is to ask for my chicken to be fried hard. Not everyone likes it that way but I do. But it didn't take away from the flavors of the flour the chicken/gizzards were fried in. I'll definitely be back. O and the total was a lil over $20 which was decent for the amount of food I received.
I have driven by this restaurant several times and decided I would give it a try instead of going to Kane's. The first thing I noticed is that they don't have a spicy chicken option like Popeyes. That's not a big deal because you can get hot sauce, So I ordered the 2 piece dark meal. Add a side order of okra and a coke. They cook everything to order and that took 15 minutes as they said It would take. It was definitely piping hot. The first thing I noticed when biting into it is that the breading had absorbed the taste of the cooking oil and it had not been changed in a while. Also, there really wasn't that much meat on the chicken. They did give me 3 pieces instead of 2 but that was probably because the first 2 were pretty small. I ended up spending $14 and still left kind of hungry.
I was searching for some good whole wings and located this place online and decided to give it a try. I placed my order online and l it up. It was ready for me when I arrived and when I walked in I was greeted and the cashier was a male who was very pleasant. I ordered two 5 piece wings and some lemon pepper okra and man they were delicious.
About a week later I returned for some more and just like the first time I placed an online order but I got a 5 piece regular, 5 piece with hot sauce and lemon pepper and some gizzards with okra but when I arrived they were out of okra so I got onion rings. The onion rings were really good but I wanted okra bad. The food wasn’t as good as it was the first time but still not bad. I wish they would add some better drink selections and some desserts to the menu.
I heard about this place from a friend, so I decided to drop in on Saturday around 3 pm and bought some fish & fries for my wife & I.
This location is a small hub with seating and screen Tv's for those dining in. The menu had a fairly nice amount of options on it. So, I decided to order us fish & fries. I waited for 10 minutes before I received my order. That's pretty fast???
I'm finally home with fresh fish and fries, or so I thought ???? I opened the container and noticed our fries appeared stale. My wife & I were disappointed by the cold & old fries and salty fish. I mean... the fish was hot but full of salt. Someone did not hold back, and I think I'm about to have high blood pressure ???? I really thought I found a spot for fish, and now I am scared to try the chicken. I think I'll avoid this establishment altogether. Sorry, but I'm not sorry ????
I ordered something completely different, but I truly enjoyed the chicken wings. It was fresh and well seasoned. I will definitely come back and try the fish next time. The restaurant was cleaned and everyone was nice when you entered. There are tables inside and outdoors.
Omg this place is the BEST!!! If you want some seasoned chicken this is the place to be. I will be going back to taste other foods, but I am sure it is Awesome too. The atmosphere is Great too and clean. I think the owner was serving at the register very kind lady. Please visit if you want some good food
I placed a phone order for gizzards and a 3 piece catfish meal. I was told that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant and was greeted warmly. The gizzards were so nicely seasoned and tender! Oops, I started eating them before taking my picture. Nice sized catfish fillets and onion rings were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My husband really enjoyed his meal. We will return again.
