Best WLM Reviews

This place is a no nonsense burger joint, and it's a treasure to all who have lived here a while. I grew up with their burgers and they always taste amazing, no big fat burgers you can't even wrap your mouth around, they're wide the way a burger should be and they're incredibly delicious. It isn't often I'm this far out to get them, but when I'm heading this direction you bet your boots I'm stopping there for some cheeseburgers all-the-way!
It's been about 15 years since my return visit, burgers were still made fresh and not in a bin, same for the fries, staff was pleasant. After so long I wish they would have put a bench by now along the waiting wall as you wait. I highly recommend they provide the food in a combo instead of separately. Overall I will return for the great burgers.
Sadly, this experience failed to impress. The food was mediocre. I ordered a burger, hot dogs, bbq, and tots. The round tots were okay, just lacking flavor; most of the meal lacked flavor. The hamburger was soft and mushy. The cheese sauce was worse than 7-11; maybe that helped runion my meal. The best item was the BBQ, yet it looked very pink. I even got the Georgia peach shake. The server claimed it had real peaches; however, my taste buds never found the real peach taste. The shake was okay; I didn't even finish it. The order was correct and created in a timely fashion. I was there at closing, but that's not a good reason for bad food.
After ordering, I wanted some ice, so I stood at the space to order. The server would not make eye contact; he walked past, looked around at nothing until I said, "Hi."Then he looked up and waited on me. That was odd. Also the restaurant could use a deep cleaning in the standing area.
This was the first time I visited this particular location. I've eaten at the what a burger locations in Richmond and Colonial Heights. The food was excellent, both price and quality. I received better value for what I ordered than going to a fast food chain. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Will definitely visit again.
Left VA Beach looking forward to arriving here and be the first in line to enjoy the Hamburger combo with Fries only to find the dining room doors both locked at 11:05am. So very disappointed!! Thank goodness for the McDonald's across the street. Saw staff inside but unfortunately they missed out on future customers coming back to this location.
Not the same experience I remember ???? from years past. Just subtle things, like the meat (not the same taste/texture), fries (not as potatoey and good even if slightly cold), and "feel" of the service/help. Still looks ???? the same.... I guess it's just progress ????!!! Don't mind waiting for hot, cooked to order food, as long as I get it hot ????
Guess I'll have to wait for summer ☀️ ????
I've been eating fries from here since this picture was taken ????
Wanted a good burger and found one! Prices are reasonable, and the service was good. The wait can be a little long, depending on how busy they are. I got the double burger with cheese all the way. I was disappointed they don't offer grilled onions, just raw. Burger was filling, and I will return again.
It's a classic for good reason. However, their chili was not my favorite but everything (and I mean everything) was so good that it made up for the chili
