It's a great, friendly restaurant. I ordered a Double, Cheese, Bacon Burger, All The Way, and it was ready when I arrived. The young lady at the counter was super friendly, kind, and courteous. I've seen this burger joint so many times and wanted to stop and try the What-a-Burger. Finally did. Apparently, it's been around since the early days of the drive-ins (1950s). The place was called Roy's Big Burgers then. The current reiteration has indoor dining and popular takeout. There's a wide menu of grilled & deep-fried items. I had the What-a-Burger with cheese and the works. Well, I wasn't too impressed with it. Cooked frozen patties don't have much favor. With the moisture of the grilling, combined with the overuse of mustard and shredded lettuce, the sandwich became very soggy and turned into What-a-Bad-Burger.
Good Ole, What-a-Burger. This place gets slammed at lunchtime. it had been a while since I've been to one and never been to this location. I beat the heavy rush, but still was about 3ppl deep to order. Got a burger all the way, with bacon and grilles onions. Food was fairly fast since they made it fresh for you. Tasted good, fries were a bit undercooked, but nothing too bad. They have a number of tables and a counter you can sit at. Not very big. Few picnic tables outside but it was raining when I went. Burger, fries, and a drink for just under $16, not too bad. Much better than a McDonald's or BK burger, almost how mom would have made it at home.
This place is a little gem in Richmond. After all these years they are still here. It’s nothing like a good burger & breakfast. Their food is made to order. Fresh & fast every single time. We had the bacon egg & cheese and bologna burger along with their hashbrowns. Then we went back later and got some burgers. If you’re looking for one of the best burgers in town. This is where you should go to.

First time at this location and food was not great. Fries very well undercooked and the burger was pink inside. Building could use some upgrades for sure. Petersburg is the best location and I'll continue to go there. Customer service was pleasant.
I had been wanting to try this place and so glad I did! I love a good burger and fries. People are friendly, service is great and dine in was clean and nice. Just went on Tuesday but going back on Saturday because there is lots more food I want to try. So happy I stopped by finally.

(Onion Rings) Were good... But!! Hamburger's VERY Disappointing! ???? Very Thin, Less Hamburger Meat... Not good quality Bland! Stale buns. Wilted, Old Lettuce ???? Made The Buns Soggy! This Place Quality Of Food Has Gone Down! This Place gets business because it's got long time Customers! They Won't Come Back To Pay For This?!! My Stomach Hurts Later! ????
This restaurant is a low-key hotspot. Always busy, always good food and big servings. Their burgers are good but I love the Ribeye Philly. Parking is a smaller lot but service is great and food comes fast with tons of options.
