I recently had a hysterectomy performed by Dr.Brill and I cannot recommend him enough. From the initial consultation through the post-op check-ins, Dr. Brill and the entire staff were kind, professional, and made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. Dr. Brill took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answering all my questions and addressing every concern I had. His bedside manner is exceptional - I never felt rushed. He has a way of making you feel at ease! The surgery itself went smoothly and my recovery has been much less painful than I anticipated. Follow-up care has also been outstanding, with multiple check-ins after the surgery to make sure I'm healing properly.I'm so grateful to have had Dr. Brill for my hysterectomy. If you're facing a similar surgery, I highly recommend putting yourself in his capable hands. You won't regret it!
They won't let you watch the ultrasound or hear your baby's heartbeat because they are more concerned with liability and you're nothing but an incubator. They also don't have privacy drapes in their rooms and paper gowns only, so not only are you not entitled to know the status or condition of your baby or your body, they don't care about your privacy.
I’ve seen most of the doctors here with my prenatal care, They are all great! Staff are friendly too. Dr. Pack took good care of me during my c-section. He was so approachable and caring that you can ask him any questions before and after my operation. I would totally recommend WHASN.
My first visit there and she was extremely helpful and informative. Talked through all of my concerns with me and explained everything to where I could understand it too. They also ran all of their tests in office which was extremely efficient. So happy to have found this location and this amazing provider!
I got my first pap smear from Samantha Schoenhaus. It was already so difficult to get an appointment in the first place, but it's whatever. I feel like I was visibly nervous and she had no patience with me and was rude when I asked her how to do simple things like if I should keep my shirt on or how to put on the paper cover thingy. I understand it might've been a silly question but I have never done anything like this because I'm young and she just made me feel stupid. I asked her about these symptoms I had which I think were pretty serious and she passed it off like nothing and didn't even give me a potential answer for what it could've been, almost like she didn't believe me when I had a legit concern. She told me she was gonna refill my prescription for my birth control and she never did. I just feel like she could've been a little nicer because I was already so nervous and she didn't make me feel comfortable at all.
Dr Brill has been my Dr. For over 10 years. He's informational caring and competent. Was on time and only waited a short time. The staff is friendly. The only thing is they have no place to plug in my oxygen in the waiting room and the TV wasn't on. Also the doors do not have handicap opening which is difficult when you're carrying a purse and an oxygen tank. I Will continue at this office.
I show up for my twenty week appointment, and my appointment is at 8:30. I am there on time and the ultrasound tech comes and gets me at 8:45 and the first thing that is said to me is “we need to be quick today because I don’t have a lot of time. Hopefully we can finish the scan.” I thought it was really strange to start the morning off that way even though I was to my appointment on time. So we go back to the ultrasound room and I say hey I just want to see my baby on the screen. She told me that it was against their “policy” and she wasn’t allowed to show me my baby. She let me see him for about thirty seconds at the very end and sent me some pictures.
Then I go into the office to talk with the doctor and she asks if I have any questions, on my second question I asked her she said “ my goodness girl you have a lot of questions.” The question I asked her was where my placenta was located, which I don’t think I should have to ask that question. It should have just been told to me. The first question I asked her was does my baby have a heart beat and how does the anatomy scan look? I mean I only got to see my baby for thirty seconds if even that, so I don’t feel like I was asking crazy questions.
Anyway, I am looking into different places to go. I hope another mom can see this and it will help with her decision. I don’t think anyone should be refused to see their baby on the ultrasound and be talked down to for having questions in this exciting time of life. I hope this helps another future mom or maybe the practice will change their ways and be more kind.
Dr. Shiode: caring, cheerful, compassionate, listens and responds to questions with pertinent information. Not condescending. Gentle touch.
Staff: efficient, gentle handling of patient, and polite...including front desk.
I enjoyed my visit and was treated very well. There was no long waiting to be seen and no time was wasted. I will be a patient for a long time.
