Everyone really enjoyed their meal except me. I had the catfish, potato salad, hush puppies, and carrot cake with a mixed fruit lemonade that was really good(strawberry & blueberry). I didnt like anything I had except the good carrot cake and fried fish.
Tried the whole flounder - both fried and grilled. Would not order again. The fish was not fresh, was very dry and skin was tough. Quality far below Wharf seafood which is usually excellent. Our first ever bad experience with The Wharf restaurant.
The service was great and our food came out quickly at around 430 pm on a Sunday. The fries and hush puppies tasted great, however, I was very disappointed that there were two large pieces of shell in my fried oysters. I was relieved that I didn't chew with normal force as it may have chipped a tooth. I hope this was an exception, but it has me wondering what other items may not be cleaned properly.
Delicious. Fairly quick. Really friendly staff. You walk up to order. They bring your food out and come back to check if you need anything additional and refill drinks.
I had choice of either fried, broiled, or blackened. I had broiled. I enjoyed my side dish of collard greens, but red beans and rice was slightly salty to me.
Great seafood at a great value. Food is typically very good, hot, fresh tasting. Enjoyed the loaded fried green tomatoes...worth the uncharged from regular! Gumbo was great as far as ingredients go, but was served luke warm vs steaming hot...same goes for the crab cakes. Fried oysters were perfectly cooked and hot. Will keep going back because of menu, great value, friendly service.
Had lunch with my husband at this restaurant, which cost $40. We both had the shrimp, one side, and sweet tea. Now, when the menu says shrimp for $15+, you expect full sized yummy shrimp. Not popcorn sized shrimp that I can buy from the grocery store freezer section and cook myself. I'm very disappointed. Will not eat there again. There is no service either.
I had the Warf Platter and Fiance had the succulent scallops. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The customer service was off the chain also. We'll worth the trip and will be making plenty more.
