Visiting from out of town, Me and my friend really like soft pretzels, so we stopped by. Number 1: We were greeted with two incompetent teenagers (One male, One Female), they hardly talked besides to each other and did not seem to be trained properly. Number 2: We both order Pretzel bites, with cheese which was around 5.50 on the menu. However you have to also pay 2.20 for the nasty cheese (Atleast it was warm I guess) with tax the total is about 10$ each for these pretzels and cheese. We start eating and can only muster to eat at max 4 or 5 bites. They were so smothered in fake butter and a copious amount salt that even with wiping each individual pretzel bite down, they were still WAY too oily and salty. Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend this place and I will NEVER come back. The only thing my friend and I received was a sick stomach on vacation. Please if you like pretzels don’t come here.
staff is so rude and they never have pretzels. always gotta wait 15 minutes. but 5 stars for those damn pretzel bites <3333

edit: 2 years later. all these negative nancies in the reviews made them shut down. i hate all of you. i dont think any of you understand the importance of this place. When i was a young child, i came here and had the wetzel bites. they were the best thing to ever happen to me. Everytime i would enter the mesa mall my first thought was always "I should go to wetzel pretzel". The absolute horror and shock that filled me when i went into the mall and saw they had closed it for good broke me. You are all evil. Evil people. This world is full of evil. Ill never be able to experience the joy and whimsy I had. All because you evil and greedy people couldnt wait in line for 10 minutes. Shame to all of you. Ive attached a photo of my genuine reaction when i saw the wetzel pretzel closed down. DO YOU GUYS KNOW HOW FAR THE NEAREST WETZEL PRETZEL IS??? 4 HOURS. FOUR. HOURS. I CANT DRIVE EVERYDAY FOR FOUR HOURS TO GET WETZEL PRETZEL. NOT IN THIS ECONOMY.
First of all the pretzels are so yummy!!! I’ve been a Wetzel’s Pretzels fan for quite some time and now I’m an even bigger fan because of the staff behind the counter at the Mesa mall location in Grand Junction, CO. For those who may not know, customer service is one of the hardest jobs on the planet and the girl behind the counter at this location is on it! Her customer service skills are amazing and she handles the crowds very well.
I’m adding this to my previous review for a few reasons. First of all because of the staff I see on a regular basis (who have become more like friends) I have decided to leave a $3 tip every time I come here. It’s because I want to, not because I have to. Relative to other businesses I think the prices are fine. Inflation stinks all around. Makes me sad to see some of the rude comments some people leave. What they fail to realize is that customer service is one of the hardest jobs on the planet. I wish those people would remember that before leaving a review that’s not very nice. If the roles were reversed I wonder how they would feel on the receiving end of that. Regardless I hope the owner sees this and that I can’t wait to get my next wetzel’s pretzel!
The food there is so delicious and fresh. My favorites are the pretzels ???? and the cinnamon bitz. They deserve more than 2.4 stars that they have. The costumer service is outstanding! Every time I have gone there is when they are the busiest and let me just say they handle crowds every every well.
Always so kind and friendly. I’m always so pleased and satisfied with the service and the food.
We went there today and it was awful. The customer service was a joke. They had nothing prepared and when we placed our order they said it would be 15 minutes tops to get our food. Took them 30 minutes to get our order to us. When they did there was no sense of apology for taking as long as it did. For $50 we were expecting great quality. Instead what we got was wetzle dogs that were burned on the outside yet the dough inside was raw. My son ordered some pizza bites and the dough was surprisingly sweet and he couldn't eat more than one bite. I am not impressed with this restaurant at all and we will not be going back.
We are visiting from out of town. We ordered their “mini meal” which had listed a drink option, pretzel bite option, and with each pretzel bite option a specific sauce was listed (e.g. pizza bites was paired with jalapeño cheddar dip)
When the meal did not have the sauce in it, we asked for the sauce with each meal. The female staff insisted that it did not come with it. We then asked to pay for the two sauces that were with the meal. We were informed there were not specific sauces per meal. I then read the sign to the staff to get the specific sauce listed.
Throughout the experience a female staff threw up her hands multiple times. Increased in voice volume and rate and was agitated. The male staff member was uncomfortable but able to remain calm.
Overall very condescending and confusing experience.

I have rated this place 5 stars under previous management but now i have to edited and make sure the public is aware of the nastiness that i witnessed. I was inline waiting to order when i saw the older woman eating a bite and then she proceeded to dipped in the sauce container that is used for the bites “TWICE!!” Then she was making the pretzels WITHOUT GLOVES!!, she was touching her face and nose!! NASTY!!. The new manager doesn’t care, he was with no mask and no gloves while handing people food. The whole place looks dirty, it wasn’t like this before. That is a disgrace for the Mesa County 5 start rating!! I will contact the health department and i file my complaint on the better Business Bureau website.
omg this place has terrible customer service and they never have ANYTHING ready besides the basic pretzels. i ALWAYS have to wait 20 minutes to get anything else. i got a raw pretzel once and the lady was giving me attitude to mak e a new one. They should step it up and get some better employees to make it a better experience for the customers. Guess this is just another terrible review for yall. Plz do better i love wetzel
