Place is full of golf zazi's. Checks your stuff for alcohol. Don't check my cooler unless you're able to provide water. If not, expect water. Thats a you problem!!
Also, had a ranger says stay off the moguls bc someone flipped their cart. Ive never seen an old cart that goes 3 miles an hour able to gain enough speed to overturn. Old guys working there just want a little power in their lives....relax!
Great course, but Tee times are way to close together. Get ready to be waiting on people in front while having mad people behind you sending balls at you. Makes you want to just pick up your ball and just quit the hole which I did 4 times then left after spending $100 I’m freaking pissed. Not that it matters because it’s clear they don’t care since this is the most posted comment and still a problem
So me and my son decide we want to play golf, we make a tee time for Wetlands (the most expensive time because that’s all that’s available). My son is a first time golfer and I am trying to get him interested we have been to the driving Range and he has been using my clubs and doing well so I thought I would take him out. So we get there 15 mins early after driving 45 mins to get the and the first thing the older gentlemen says to me(the Starter) is your late. I just chalked it up to that’s just the older golf guys and didn’t say anything. So we continue inside to check in and we weren’t aware that the reservation was just a hold for the time slot. The older gentleman inside said you guys have to pay and of course I say we paid he says NO YOU DIDNT so anyway just chalked that one up too. My son checked his bank account and realized that it was just a hold for a couple dollars. No problem our fault so we paid. We go outside and the starter (the old guy that said we were late) says “that one yours” he took a momentary break in a conversation he was having with someone else we realized ok I guess he means the cart. Again just chalked it up to arrogance of older golf guys. So my son goes to grab my golf bag because he left it by the golf bag stand. As he’s walking back the “starter” said “O you only have one set of clubs” I said yea he just started playing he doesn’t want to spend the money I have for a set of clubs yet. The reply was well he needs to go get him a set and go to the driving range and then come back. Again I kept my composure and he continued to say he can go in and rent a set. Me and my son looked at each other in disbelief, my son walked in to inquire about how much the clubs were to rent I can’t speak to what the guy said inside because I was out in the cart (he said it was much more of the same). 25$ to rent a set of clubs I mean I have my set we were going to play best ball because I know he is new, you only use one t a time anyway. So at this point they have shied my son off from playing golf and dealing with the holier the thou attitude of the “older gentleman of golf” and we just at that point asked for a refund and took our 1 set of expensive clubs and got back in the car in disbelief and drove 45 mins back home. I have never been treated like this on a golf course and the sad think is its a stunning course not 72$ a piece worth but 50$ I would say. Wetlands Golf course really has to take a look in the mirror, there staff is terrible and now have two golfers that would never return to you facility. If you have taken the time to read this post this is an accurate account of what happened and the Staff there should be ashamed of themselves.
Pretty nice course but way too many people booked on top of each other. Tee times were separated by 8 minutes and had multiple groups waiting around on the same hole.
I had a good time at this course! Started a little late because of a frost delay but smooth sailing after that. The course was nice despite some of the recent weather we have had. Nice fairways, smooth greens. There were some challenging holes including a par three which was nice. I'm pretty close to the course so I will most likely play again. I am a fan of the bar/grill room too.
For 55 riding I really don’t expect much. The course really surpassed my expectations. Sure there are a few holes with problems. Some with quite a bit of trash present and a rickety bridge, but a majority of really nice challenging holes. Starter was pleasant and gave the necessary details. Food at the turn was well priced. Marshals were out but don’t think they were moving groups. Cons were tiny bunker rakes. Please put one or two more out per hole and buy the full size bunker rake! Range was closed. Otherwise great round and will be back.
A special 'far and few between' family owed country course. Worth more than they charge. Each well groomed fairway presents its own unique challenges and each well manicured green runs fast and true. Great conditions from tee to pin. Kudos to the owners. A memorable round. Unfortunately, this little golf oasis is closing at the end of the 2024 season. If your just passing through, it's well worth the visit. And for the locals, I'm sure Wetlands will be missed.
Great course. Always in good shape. Really enjoy playing here
