Best WLM Reviews
Just started golfing this year, so this review is from the perspective of a beginner. This was going to be my first time booking through GolfNow but I've heard horror stories about using the app so I just called the pro shop and was able to get the same price ($35). Everything seemed fine till I get there to check in and the guy working the proshop was sure that was the usual 9 hole rate until I showed him the email saying I paid that rate for 18. Glad I didn't book through GolfNow if I got that much hassle when going through their own website.
I go to tee off and the starter is nice but clearly they're trying to pack the course with tee times every 9 mins and full 4 person groups. No beverage cart even with a no outside alcohol policy (moderately enforced, they don't check your bags but no coolers allowed), but there is a drink and food shack by the first and 10th teebox's.
Overall course was in great shape, the front 9 we played relatively quickly considering how many people were on the course. Back 9 I wasn't able to finish but it was moving extremely slow by the 14th when I had to punch out. I just really dislike the fact that a Friday felt more packed than a Sunday morning at a city municipal course. Probably not going back any time soon due to how many other courses are in the area, but maybe one day.
Picture of my tee shot on 9.
After reading the reviews from a month/ 2 months ago I would say the course is in MUCH better shape. Nice and green. ????????
I'm giving 4 /5 stars because we wanted to do the back 9 this morning and they would only allow us to do the front. In the past there was a back 9 special, which was great for a quick round before work...It will be greatly missed.
I haven't been inside to try the food but have heard great things since the remodel. Can't wait to try!
The golf course was great. From the time we checked in, the gentleman in the pro shop was upbeat, and happy to see us. The started directed us as to the rules for the day, since it was extremely hot. The course itself was in great shape. Fairways were firm and fast, and the greens were in great shape. The greens were receptive. When we finished, the young man that took and cleaned our carts, was genuine when he asked about our round, and he listened. He said thank you and hope to see us soon too. Great afternoon on the course, made even better by the great staff, from GM to cart staff.
I'm very happy with the updates and quality of the course. It's short, to be fair, but still a full size course and set up well for people who love a left to right shot. It's a bit harder for me since I typically draw everything. My recommendation is to play here when you're with slicers and shorter drivers and you will have a blast.
Regardless, it is a fun course that's in good condition as of August 2024.
My 3rd year consistently golfing and WestWood is my go to! Booking t times are easy, normally always find a spot to play even if it’s just 9 after work! The course conditions and the greens in the 3 years are night and day difference they definitely keep up with improving them to give us a great time golfing. The prop shop / cart girls and the snack hut workers are always helpful and friendly! Restaurant upstairs is 11/10 never a bad meal from any time we’ve ordered! Waitresses and bartenders do a great job! Even if you don’t golf it’s worth coming in for lunch or dinner!
If you’re in the south Jersey area it’s definitely a course I would recommend to play and you’ll definitely be back!
This place is a nice course at a good price for the area. Afternoon green fees are typically less than $50, and they are pretty reasonably priced on the weekends as well, considering the inflated green fees other less well maintained courses charge in the area. Course is always in good shape. We pretty much play here year round.
The course itself is 4.5 stars in my honest opinion. It was fun with challenging greens. Cart path could use some upgrades. However, the experience with the staff has left me very little to desire. The cart handler was yelling at us for taking the cart up behind him to load our clubs. He was rushing us onto the first hole when the other team was super slow and kept walking back to the green when they were done. Rangers said nothing to them. For $80 a person on a weekend the experience should be better. Not grumpy old men who are just downright rude. It’s a maybe if I’ll
Ever play this again.
I should have listened to the reviews of this place. I read them but didn't listen. My tee time is at 1012, I got here at 915 it's 930 now and I've already experienced the rude and unprofessional starter.
There is no range or warm up area at all. Only a putting green. Lesson learned, never come back
