I enjoy the low foot traffic at this branch. There’s a bathroom everyone knows not to use. It always smells bad. When you walk up to the doors, that faint fart in the bathroom smell is wafting out at you. You must look forward to getting used to it. We have Zumba, yoga and Pilates. In El Paso you can’t find a gym to give yoga atleast 6 days a week. For some reason el payaso doesn’t value an exercise that can prevent the need for doctors and you can do it until you pass. El Paso just hasn’t gotten with that yet ebebm though YMCAS in other major coritos do, and are open 7 days a weeks this gym is closed on Sundays. I do feel like I can get a better and less anxiety filled workout here than at those other gyms where people dress like they’re going to a club and then just sit on machines waiting to be seen - they don’t do that here. I like the atmosphere better so I deal with the other parts. My body has improved since so those weaknesses aren’t a deal breaker. I get a better worn out here than at other gyms because it’s less populated
I've never experienced such terrible customer service before, sure every now and then but I've come in 3x this week and each time the women at the front are so rude. I'm literally standing at her desk to ask a question and they just continue to talk about their personal business. I had to say," Excuse me I have a quick question" she then rolls her eyes and asks,"What". Each time was a different person and each one was so rude. Like they hate their job. OWNER -please speak to your staff about common decency and manners. PLEASE
All of the members I been talking to including myself are mad because of the schedule until 8 pm and closed on sundays! We need to go back to normal schedule!
Racquetball courts need to have good maintenance! There is one court that was in fair conditions but because of poor management, now its a storage room!
I am sorry but this place especially the sports program has taken a dump and not to mention all fees have gone up with a crappy schedules. This place needs to fire managers and coordinators as they refuse to listen to thier customers and they keep running this place down.
My suggestion is to find some other place!
Friendly staff and everything feels welcoming. Best part is their pool but that’s just me ????
Nice gym, modern machines , friendly coaches and special Zumba classes with coache Claudia she is very professional I liked her dancing so much
The staff are a bunch of rude careless youngsters. The pool never has available lanes for lap swimming, it's always really crowded.
Parents enrolling kids in sports classes beware. I enrolled my daughter's for ballet for the month. One daughter was the only one enrolled and on the last day of practice I was told her class would be canceled because she was the only one enrolled. This should have been told to me classes would be canceled at the beginning of the month! My second daughter's class was also canceled the last day of practice because the other students did not arrive to the last practice. We drove from North East to the westside for class to be canceled, when they could have had the decency to call me at home before we drove all the way over there. The youth sports manager was the one that made this decision (as I heard her talk to the dance instructor by the steps) without any regard to the effort we took to make it to class, that we pay for a membership and the class and that it doesn't matter if other kids are in class; my children were ready to dance and my children matter!
Also I registered my daughter's for classes for the next month and the lady in the front scheduled my kid for class on the wrong day. I told her and notated the day I wanted her to take classes, and she said my daughter could choose any day to go. The y workers should know how these classes work. It's not that hard to register someone correctly.
Lastly, the restrooms are disgusting! Mold, filth are present all on the floor and walls in women's restroom in locker room. Next time I'll take pics and post peoples names!
