Amazing food! Their Philly Cheese Steak is incredible, very fresh, huge, tons of flavor, and high quality. We have a different local favorite for finger steaks, but theirs are very good ???? Burgers are very tasty and the fries are delicious. My wife loves the ice cream potato! I love the fact that it's local, it's house made, and it's unique. The variety on the menu should fit just about any craving out there!
Has to come here for the baked potato ice cream!! We had a good time seeing it in person, we devoured it very quickly. For food we shared a chicken sandwich with fries. Absolutely delicious and fresh. Very high quality. My only gripe with the place is for the time period it’s designed after there’s not very many African-American musicians on the walls…*cough cough* how could you play Motown hits and only have Elvis posters???
We were just traveling I-80, and stopped at the grocery store next door. Saw the pink neon "Westside Drive In" sign, and figured we'd pop over for a snack. Holy amazing food! We figured we'd get small, greasy portions of fried food and an overy-sugared shake for the really reasonable prices on the menu. Instead, we felt like we'd hit the jackpot: large amount of excellent quality pub food snacks, and the best shake I've had in years. We had the fried pickles, BBQ tater tots, fried zucchini sticks, and the blueberry marshmallow shake. Mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm! All for around $20 total; you can't beat it. We'll definitely put this on the travel rotation in the future.
The mozzarella sticks are some of the best out there. Just very disappointing they don't have the full menu of the state street location. If its a chain it should be consistent so people don't drive out if their way and you don't offer a menu item. Food is good but won't be back to this location cause I won't know what they still offer.
I’ve been wanting to come here for a while. Didn’t get the chance last time I was in Boise, but this time I did. The burger and fries were very good. While the fries were good, the curly fries were better (which is usually not the case for me). Definitely recommend the curly fries. The burger had a great taste, perhaps a little too much lettuce. I like lettuce on a burger, but it did seem like the lettuce was added to make the burger seem bigger (which wasn’t really necessary since it was a good average size burger already).
The potato ice cream was really good too. While the ice cream was firm, making it slightly hard to scoop into, it still tasted creamy and better than I expected. I am sure their other desserts are better tasting, but I just had to get this for the experience and I was not disappointed. They also gave us fortune cookies. Strange for a place like this, but I’m not complaining! Great place!
Very good burgers and fries, also I love their interior. Already tested 3-4 burgers and all of them were on a high lvl.
Great burgers with even better ice cream that looks like a potato but tastes nothing like one.
Had to get an ice cream baked potato while in Boise. Westside Drive-in is a quirky little place with friendly staff who knew just what I wanted from hand signs alone. Vanilla ice cream interior, cocoa skin, whipped cream and hot fudge dirt make for a realistic and tasty treat.
