One star because there is not a direct number to the front desk, when you try to get in contact by phone your call is redirected overseas to a call center, it is extremely hard to understand them with their heavy accent. I hate to call and leave a message to wait to be called back…..
Currently looking to move a three kids to another office just because of this.
Their website is also outdated, and now they are charging a $40 fee if you have to cancel an appointment in less than 24 hours.
Went to see neurologist, recommended by Primary. Last Friday. Somewhere within 1/2 hour leaving doctor's office to the lab they lost all my paperwork... Maybe wait there for an hour while waiting for blood work... Again they couldn't contact the doctor or anybody else... Told me to come back Monday it will all be straightened out and they apologized... Went today again almost 2 hours after being told everything is okay... Nobody could find paperwork.. Dr left again nobody knew what to do waste of my time for 2 days... Missing work worried about this.. in my condition.. just to see that the doctor could care less...
I have been a patient for over a decade and the actual care is incredible. The staff and doctors really care about their patients. However, over the past couple of years, the customer service part has really become very frustrating. The inability to get in touch with the doctor’s office directly and constantly dealing with a customer service center elsewhere in the country or elsewhere in the world to get messages delivered creates a lot of unnecessary delays and miscommunication. Once Westmed merged with Summit health, the service part of their business has greatly diminished. Profits over patients.
I don't understand all the 1-star reviews on here. I had a perfectly lovely experience at this Westmed location today. They were able to get me in for a same-day mammogram and ultrasound. The facilities are very clean and look brand new, with state-of-the-art equipment. I was seen right away in the radiology area, the mammogram tech Teresa was wonderful and guided me through what could have been a scary experience. Then I received my ultrasound, and discussed all of the imaging results immediately after with the doctor. In and out in less than 2 hours, with answers and next steps. Went as perfectly as it could have.
I don't want to talk to an AI! I want to make an appointment with a pulmonologist. I don't want to give unnecessary information to an AI. I also can never never ever seem to be able to make an online appointment. It is very frustrating. I am ready to go somewhere else that does not use Summit. Ridiculous this has to be a stressful experience.
I have been waiting for a pre authorization for an MRI for my brain for 2 weeks now. I sent several emails through the portal. My insurance company said no one from the pre authorization office at west med has initiated anything to date. I’m taking medication with no testing. Also, many months ago a different doctor sent me for a sleep test and never followed up with me for my results. I sent so many emails to him via the portal and still nothing. Even another doctor sent him a message via the portal and he still has not responded. For the most part the doctors are alright but there are some that are just BAD and have BAD bed side manners! Such a shame!!!
The service was great and friendly-they give you a call when you are ready and the doctor has a good bedside manner, is patient and she got me what I needed right away, plus I feel she went above and beyond to light speed my medication to the pharmacy as it was closing. Overall good experience!
Care for your patients at its finest!!! Nurse Odell and Dr. Sullivan were getting ready to close the office and they saw me. I was having asthma. They put me on the nebulizer and got me feeling much better. I’m blessed to be there under their medical care.
