Best WLM Reviews

Be careful when going here and double check your bills from this place!
Went in with my partner because we were both experiencing respiratory issues. We had to go back and double check they inputted our insurance properly since I started getting text alerts for her visit.
A few weeks later I received a bill for the provider that I was seen by, and another bill by a provider that I never saw (coincidentally this was the provider my partner saw). My partner has never received any bill for their visit - which makes me question if she was registered in properly.
When I called to get this rectified they told me they will put the second bill on hold until this can be fixed and that this has been an ongoing issue IT glitch issue that’s primarily affecting BCBS patients. This bill from a provider that I was never seen by was sent to my insurance and denied and the entire sum was now my responsibility before I called to inquire about it.
I wonder how many other patients this has happened to that have just paid the bill without realizing they’re being inappropriately billed. Why hasn’t WestMed notified patients of this IT issue or done a thorough investigation on how many patients this “glitch” could have affected? Why are they waiting for patients to come forward before placing these mis-bills on hold?
Shameful.
Ultrasound technician didn’t show up on the day of my appointment. I waited with my full bladder for one hour and then I went to front desk and they had no clue where is the technician. Parking is getting worse at New Rochelle. Wait time is long…
I had a 10am appointment for bloodwork for my 2 year old. I arrived at 9:50 and they said they’re running behind 30mins. Great sure I can wait with my two toddlers for 30mins. One hour passes by, my toddlers are losing it, hungry, tired and I ask how many people in front of me after an hr and I get told “when a room is available they’ll sit you”….that wasn’t even my question. A joke. I ended up leaving.
Our kids pediatrician here is great. But trying to get bloodwork or see the emergency room here is ridiculous to the point we will be switching practices.
Also, there’s a parking lot with no parking or a wait. Good luck
Where do i begin with the horror. My first mistake was probably not reading the reviews and going to an urgent care in the hood but it was next to my job so I tried them out. I came in with severe cold symptoms and trouble breathing. I was diagnosed and told my symptoms would last 4 to 10 days. Then the doctor named Dr Gjani proceeded to write me a note telling me to return to work in 48 hours. I asked for prescriptions to alleviate my symptoms symptoms and was told urgent Cares cannot write prescriptions I would have to go to my primary care physician. That was a bald-faced lie. The next day when I read the doctor's note I called in and told them he wrote my symptoms will not start getting better for 4 to 10 days but they wrote me a note to go back to work in 48 hours and asked speak to a supervisor. The supervisor who refused to give me her last name told me urgent cares cannot write notes to stay out of work more than 48 hours. That was another straight up lie. I ended up going to the urgent Care in my neighborhood to get the appropriate Dr note for work and prescriptions to alleviate my breathing and another 3 prescriptions to help with my cough and flu symptoms. But I thought urgent cares couldn't write prescriptions. No that Ghetto Westmed refuses to actually do their job. The visit was $1,400 plus whatever I paid for the urgent care in my neighborhood. Do yourself a favor. Look elsewhere.
The lack of medical care I experienced here was borderline negligent. I am in my first trimester of pregnancy and I woke up at 6 am violently throwing up which I have never experienced in this or my previous pregnancy. After several hours of throwing up unable to keep any water down, I called my OB and they said that dehydration is a big concern for pregnancy and it can cause a miscarriage. She said that I can find an urgent care with an IV to get rehydrated so I don’t have to go to the emergency room. My husband called this place to make sure they had an IV and they confirmed that they did. After an hour of waiting in their office, puking every 20 minutes in the waiting room bathroom, my husband asked the front desk if it was going to be much longer because I needed help asap and we were considering going to an emergency room. The front desk lied and said it was going to be another 15 minutes. It took 2 hours to see the Nurse Practitioner. This wasn’t even the bad part
My experience with the nurse practitioner on saturday 5/18 was horrific. After I told her I had been throwing up for about 6 hours with nothing to drink since the night before she started off lecturing me that morning sickness is a normal part of pregnancy. My face was so swollen and purple from throwing up I looked like I was beaten up and I said this is not normal! She then said “I doubt you are dehydrated after only 6 hours so I’m not going to give you an IV” I told her “I havent had water since the night before on top of all the fluid I have already lost” she responded with “still it hasn’t been long enough for you to be dehydrated enough for an IV”. When I said my stomach was in a lot of pain from the hours of throwing up she then said “oh I can’t help you if you have stomach pain because something could be wrong with your baby so you need to go to the emergency room, I can’t treat you”. I am only 7 weeks pregnant, the emergency room can’t do anything for my pregnancy they can only give me an IV bag which is why I went there in the first place
After 2 hours of wasting my time and dehydrating myself more which put my baby at risk, I went to an emergency room where they proceeded to give me a few IV bags and some anti nausea medication which could’ve been done by westmed! The nurses and doctor at the hospital made multiple comments about how dehydrated I looked because of how chapped my lips were. Oh and none of my throwing up was morning sickness related. It was the rotavirus which kills hundreds of thousands of people each year due to dehydration
The NP who works here should be fired
Terrible experience overall, the app isn’t user friendly and doesn’t provide in depth appointment information. My appt was 11:30am. The location has terrible parking and had to wait for 7mins. I was then 14mins late because of it. Someone was in front of me. The receptionist checked me in at 11:46 and called the NP. The NP Batirbek was rude, unprofessional, & hung up on the receptionist after telling me I had to reschedule. I was following up after getting epidural injection not even 24hrs the day before. When I say this NP has been the rudest and I didn’t even meet them. I’m glad I wasn’t serviced by them. I can only imagine how they would have treated me during my appointment if that’s how he conducts operations. I would give negative stars to the NP Batirbek alone, the receptionists and everyone at the entrance was great.
The absolute worst place to go. There is nothing urgent about this urgent care. Came here in so much pain told me it’s a half hour wait. 4 hours later I’m still waiting to be seen. The customer service is the absolute worst the woman Maryella and some other woman at the front desk tells me a different amount of people are in front of me every time I ask them how long it’s going to be. This will be the last time they ever see me here. I wish I could give this place 0 stars as a review to be honest.
Update… Total wait time was 4 hours The Doctors and Nurses are just as helpless and clueless as the people at the front desk.. Do not and I repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE!!!!
I have been to west Med in NewRochelle several times and I find the staff to be very friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk staff. The offices are always clean.
