Best WLM Reviews

Came at dinner, got breakfast. Just finished at the gym and was needing some dinner. My friend and I stopped in on a Monday around 7p and were greeted at the door and were told to seat ourselves. Water arrived promptly and our order was taken within a few minutes. We both ordered Greek skillets and a side coney dog for an appetizer, because a three egg skillet just ain’t enough. Food was fantastic, a good sized portion and came fast! Our server was very attentive and brought extra waters as she could tell we were thirty having just came from the gym.
The atmosphere is what it is. Place needs some love on the interior, maybe some paint, some new tables. Booths are a little worn and tables show visible signs of years of patronage. Go to Anna’s house if you want decor and overpriced food is my take.
Overall this place hits right and I don’t care what the tables look or feel like as long as the service and food are consistently as good as it was tonight.
There is nowhere in the entire universe you're ever going to beat these prices. The prices , plus the food quality are absolutely golden. Every worker in Westland Family Dining was courteous thoughtful, mindful and possessed great mannerisms. I am ecstatic to have found this establishment to dine in . There were maybe 4 people in line in front of me and every customer was greeted properly and treated with care ! I also enjoy my meal I didn't expect the food to be so hearty and hefty. I will be back to this place plenty more times . Thank you for everything
I cannot express how great this place is!! I've lived in Westland since 2010 and I've never paid attention to this restaurant being here before. Ever since the local Boston Market closed, I've had a yearning for fresh turkey dinner. Someone on Facebook told me that if I wanted turkey, I needed to try this restaurant ASAP. Boy am I glad I did! The food was absolutely amazing! (I ordered turkey of course! LOL) The food was hot, delicious, and you are given very generous portions. Also the potato soup before my main course....10/10! The restaurant was staffed tonight by Amanda and Charlotte and they were super nice and attentive! Excellent service overall! My advice to everyone..... stay away from the "chain restaurants" and give this place a shot! The menu is insane with how many items are on it. There's definitely something for everyone.
Overall: A++++++++
We stopped in for lunch on Sunday as we were in the mood for some food and we're let down by a hot dog place nearby that was supposed to be open but wasn't, and I was really in the mood for a good hot dog.
We called to make sure they were open before we headed out that way and the person on the phone was a little bit abrupt and hung up rather quickly.
When we arrived the atmosphere was nice it wasn't too busy and we were seated really quickly in a nice booth.
The staff were very attentive to getting our order quickly and making sure we had everything we needed.
They gave us a kid's menu which kind of just looked like a small scaled-down version of the real menu and a little pamphlet. Not the typical coloring page kids menu that some restaurants have.
My wife ordered the chicken tenders meal which came with a nice basket containing different crackers and some really nice soft fluffy fresh tasting bread and butter, and she got some really hot crispy fries with her meal.
The hot dogs myself and my daughter ordered were okay, nothing too special just average cheap hot dogs, but the buns were kind of hard and a little bit chewy, like they were stale or had been sitting out for a while.
The fries I got were also a little on the softer, less well done, side compared to the nice crispy ones my wife got.
The service was really good though, and all the staff were very polite and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
Cashing out after our meal was quick and easy.
All in all I would say this was a great restaurant and we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.
A local place in the community that serves home cooked meals. Breakfast , lunch and dinner are served pretty much all day. The staff is friendly and the food comes out quickly. I love their senior size Fish and Chips, My husband enjoys the Goulash and Veal Parmesan dinners. They have about 10 Senior meals, perfect size, usually just one less piece of fish or veal etc. than a regular meal.
When my guy friend was still living ,we used to go there often and never had any problems. The food tastes fresh n home cooked~~~ Julie
I was told to try this place, so I came with my boys on their half day of school. Let’s start with the fact the place looks like it’s 180 years old, could use some updating, but that would mean they’d have to raise prices, which I like the low prices, soooo. The service was nice, pleasant staff, not the most attentive. My one son has some emotional issues, but doesn’t appear to have issues and he was having an episode, the server sort of looked at him like he was a problem, which I didn’t love. But I’m also sensitive to that. I ordered the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer for us, and it’s pretty hard to mess up, however, they were not stringy or gooey like they are supposed to be, they were kind of chalky and we won’t be ordering those again. My kids ordered the Mickey Mouse pancakes, which just had some whipped cream on them. They also did not look like Mickey Mouse, lol. But my kids loved them. I ordered a triple decker club, no cheese and no mayo, with fries. It came with a cup or soup, I ordered the chicken noodle. The sandwich had thick pieces of turkey, yummy bacon and crisp lettuce on it. The fries were cooked nicely. The soup was salty and delicious! Just how I like my soup! I also ordered a small order of french toast with powdered sugar and cinnamon and they were some of the best french toast I’ve had! We got all that food for under $40! With tip! It was worth the try and I’ll go back for that french toast!
I went with two friends. We each got different meals and we were quite happy with our food. Ate inside, great service too. Prices were surprisingly low. Highly recommended.
