Westgate Resort was the best experience I've had in a long time. They sponsored me and my wife for a Military Weekend that was unforgettable. I don't of another company who would provide a free weekend for active duty and Veterans. From the arrival to the checkout experience everything was great. There is so many actives, pools, sightseeing and places to eat. I couldn't use everything. However, this was a military weekend and the they did things the right way for us. My thanks to the management and the many people who worked to make this weekend special. I hope my wife can do this again soon.
The room was large and the furniture was relatively updated. However, I don't think it was very clean. The shower looks like it hasn't been cleaned because you can see black dirt. Also, the pillows were like rocks, the mattress was fine. The pool looked nice and there was enough parking. The traffic getting in was ridiculous.
Excellent stay at WR Town Center, right from Check In to the Express check. This was an exchange made thru II, we upgraded to a 2 bedroom which was worth it. Stay in Building 5100 third floor which at checkin were given a choice of what floor we wanted and my 3rd floor choice was ideal. Love the contact from staff through their text system. On any issues and needs. Loved our balcony for breakfast and few dinners and enjoyed the veiw. The Los Amigos Restaurant is a must to do. We did a take out dinner and had 2 dinners from the Great food we got. The Drift Sports Bars and Ice Cream and Market Place was a convenient stop| Over all we would go back again.
We owners, first checked in and they tried to tell me water park tickets weren't included. Tried to sell me things off rip. And MADE me pay to reserve a table for a breakfast I didn't go to.... talked my into the river ranch excursion. Only to pay for it 190$ as a date day for me n my husband, only to cancel it the next day and won't return the money for 30 days.... which was alot of my spending money to be held up in limbo. Unable to pay for another thing to do scared that the same thing might happen.... the activities never started on time.
I do recommend better rewards for winning. Like free ice cream. Or a free drink. Or discount cards to the resort amenities. Or restaurants. Instead of the little trinket metals.
Staff was nice. Everything was clean.
There are a bunch of free and low cost activities to take advantage of while on the property for those traveling with limited funds...there are 10+ pools on the entire resort and a small water park that has a wonderful lazy river! My family and I loved it from the moment we drove into the property, their newly renovated rooms are literally entire apartments, complete with a full kitchen, mostly all the utensils you need ..they even provide a broom and mop and small toiletries. The staff was friendly from start to finish, anytime we ordered more blankets or towels they were delivered in less than ten minutes...I mean the service is impeccable! Every person who came to drop off items was just so kind and welcoming, they never made us feel like we were a burden or asking for too much! Highly recommend this resort for families, even those with littles! Will definitely be back ❤️
My family and I spent 2 nights and 3 days for their annual military appreciation weekend and we had a great time! The whole staff worked real hard to make it special for all military personnel and made it a very enjoyable experience.
We are timeshare owners and very disappointed in the experience here.
We booked out three rooms for three nights. In each room, there was dust and hair all over the place when we checked in. In one of our rooms, there were clothes left from the previous guest. When I called the maintenance to ask if the rooms could be cleaned, they told us it would be an extra charge, which is absurd considering the rooms were barely cleaned beforehand. There were bugs (little millipedes or worms) and lizards in the room because there was no/or little weather stripping on the front door. I had to run to the store to get some house flip flops because I didn’t want to wear my outside sandals, but definitely did not feel comfortable putting my bare feet on the floor.
On the second night of our stay, at 1:48am, we were awoken by a series of 4-5 loud bangs coming from the road (we were placed at the back of the resort and the building was situated near the back fence and a main road. So in addition to hearing cars passing late at night, we heard those bangs that were what sounded like either gunshots, firecrackers, or a really loud car muffler followed by police sirens about 45 minutes later.
The only good thing I can say was that the Drafts restaurant staff was very nice.
We will definitely be making preparations to sell our timeshare. I hope this honest review can help people make an informed decision and also help the resort staff improve their guest stay services.
This is my second time staying here as a westgate owner. The first time at westgate Town Center was really nice. This past time, not so much. Personnel were confused. Guest services or front office people didn't know the restaurants were closed. They said no, they are open. Granted, they weren't. I called about the car chargers and was advised they have some only to find out they are not working. So wasted money setting that app up. Now, this review is not based on room service as they did bring towels and things to the room in a timely manner. Most things are ok unless you ask a question, then people either don't understand or have no answer, and it takes forever to get one.
