The resort was beautiful but almost everything was closed except on the weekend. The restaurant has a limited menu and the food is average. Service was excellent and the BBQ end cuts were excellent. Swamp buggy ride was awesome! The room was acceptable and clean. We enjoyed the Halloween hayride and Eileen was wonderful. All in all it was an enjoyable outdoor experience.
I have 3 daughters and this was our third and BEST wedding hands down. We loved the venue and all the activities really gave us a chance to co-mingle with all the guests. Tammy was incredible and was there to make sure everything went smooth. I can’t thank or praise her enough. Without her our stress level would have been through the room, and I can think of a couple bumps in the road that she gracefully averted for us. Tammy was the MVP of the trip!!! For the price, this is an incredible value and I recommend Westgate River Ranch for your wedding or event.
I have to say that everyone we met were so nice, and everyone was willing to go above and beyond. The girls that held the lobby doors, the agents at the desk were all so helpful, as was the golf cart attendant. A nice young man named Sam was our waiter three times, was awesome, and even though the kitchen was a little long the first night, and some of our guests got impatient, I was really impressed at how Sam handled it and won us over. We loved the clay shooting and again we had a great guide! The swamp buggy was great also. Again we loved the driver!

Wes T and Maddie were great at the line dance. Super charismatic and friendly- made it a very nice experience.
We had a very bad experience with the horseback riding. Rude, unfriendly staff. (Not the girl in the office, she was nice.) Paid for a 45 minute ride. We were back after 25 minutes and had in that time only been yelled at and not met a single smile or friendly comment. We know how to ride (have ridden for years and had regular access to own horses), but were treated as idiots. It was the worst riding experience we have had. They were cross and rude to both adults and children. All the other staff have been very nice, though. So we’ll give it a four star for service although it would be zero had we ranked the horseback riding.
Big shout out to Jeremy at the petting farm who went above and beyond to give us a nice experience.
The Saturday night rodeo was an absolutely amazing experience- a really spectacular show.
Very cool place with lots of things to do for the whole family. If you want a western/cowboy experience, but don’t need the horseback riding - this is your place:-)
Love this place! For families, business & couples. They have a little of everything. The horseback riding was really relaxing and the horses are very well taken care of and trained! Will definitely go back. Everybody is polite and the rooms are clean.
I can't even begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. All of the planned events we scheduled were fantastic. We will be back! A great place to relax and have the best time! Super clean everywhere. Food was great! You will not be disappointed. If I could I would give 20 stars!!
We visited to experience your Haunted hayride. The actors were very scary and really got into their parts. We drove all the way from Orlando! It was worth it. I have to comment on your ENTIRE staff!! Very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back for a long weekend stay. A round of applause for Halie H!! ???????? Such a sweet person.
Great experience over the Holiday weekend! Tony and Morgan from the front office were amazing! Dale with engineering was wonderful too - came to fix something in the room and was very efficient and pleasant! Andrew with the golf carts was also great! Overall, amazing weekend!
First problem: we didn't know that most eating venues are closed until the weekend. We had to go to Publix (25 miles away) to stock up so we could eat. Also, activities may be limited during the week. We went on a Monday to stay til Friday. Still, the location is beautiful and we had fun. Second problem: for the price we were paying (over $400/night) I wish everything worked: screen door handle fell off and they didn't have a part to fix it. Pop-up drain in bathroom sink was broken and they didn't have the part to fix it. (I propped it open with a plastic knife for the duration of our stay.) Low water pressure. Our rail car was to accommodate 4 people but there was only 1 towel rod and one ring for the hand towel at the sink so we had to hang our damp towels after showering on the bunk beds or the chairs in the kitchen. Why not another towel rod or some hooks in the bathroom? Last problem that I'll mention: cockroaches (2) in the bathroom and a big palmetto bug in the toilet.
